Sailor,Much agreed. I have a horrible room, which I've tried to address with the help of a SPL meter. But I'd be shocked if I'm anywhere close to flat. I'd love the opportunity to get with your laptop and conduct some good measurements. I think th...

Not to throw a wet blanket on everything, but shouldn't there be some kind of agenda for the meeting? It's great that we want to gather and share our passion for the hobby, but I also think it would be great if we could learn a thing or two while ...

I'm in Columbia. I could also host sometime. Probably in February or March. Sang
Audio Horizons TP 2.0 Preamplifier
Wow! I just had to voice my preliminary impression of the upgrades done to my TP 2.0 pre and 8.0 phono stage. I hate to simply echo the many comments that have already been posted, but I'm pretty freaked. I guess one gets quite excited when his sy...

Hi, all. I'd be interested as well. I'm into 2 channel only. Prefer tubes and vinyl. Thanks. Sang

Sherod, I've been an avid reader of this thread. I just don't post. I know you've been a huge advocate for the TP 2.0 preamp. I also know the cap rolling that you've done. I have a lot of respect for the V-Cap and so I also tried a V-Cap bypass on...
Audio Horizons TP 2.0 Preamplifier
Greetings to all. I rarely post, but I've been following the action closely. I just wanted to say that I'm very appreciative of Sherod and others for their time and efforts on testing thing so we can benefit from their experiences. It's very easy ...
Tympani IVa amping
I found the same with forward tilting. I'm getting my Mye stands in about a week. Is forward tilting possible with Mye stands? Thanks.

I accept your point on the sub. I could easily do without one, but it is nice. I use a Bag End Infra 18" sub that has specs down to 8 Hz. To tell you the truth, I have it turned down so low that I can't even hear it, but it is a nice fill in at ti...

Intersting. Thanks for your thoughts on placement. I have Tympani 4's. I've als had Tympani 3b's and 1 d's. As you know the recommended crossover point for the bass panels is 250 Hz, which is clearly audible. Nevertheless, I guess I would have to ...

FWIW, I use a class D amp (H2O) with the TP 2.0. It's a very good match.

IMO, cctive bi-amping or even triamping is the best way to go. I use tube otl's on top and a class D amp for the bass panels. Crossover duties are now being handled by a behringer 2496. Cwlondon's placement of the bass panels is interesting. Care ...
