BAT VK 60 and 14 ohm Coincident Speakers I think the BAT VK60 and Coincident speakers would be a very nice match. I recently purchased a pair of 14 ohm Coincident Total Eclipse speakers and was very pleased with the results when paired with a BAT VK75SE amp. When experimenting with the o...
TOP TEN replies you don't want from your spouse .. "Honey, you are always complaining that I am not romantic enough, so I carved our initials into the side of your brand new Coincident Total Eclipse speakers!"Suzywww.audioenquirer.com
Tenor Audio - Anyone hear them? Robert -- I could be wrong, but I believe it is Lars Fredell from Ultimate Audio that replaced his beloved Lamm's with a pair of Tenor amps.
Tenor Audio - Anyone hear them? Don't hate me, but I'm expecting a pair of Tenor amps to show up on my doorstep middle of next week. I'm drooling already.
Favorite SACD's That's an easy one. The Titanic soundtrack. Maybe it's just a girl thing, but I can't get that #@*!@# love theme out of my head. Been humming it for the last three months now. Lots of other great music also, especially if you've got an amp with so...
wow, a newbie power cord convert You have to match power cords just like any other component. A power cord that sounds great on your cd player may not sound as good on your amp - it is sort of hit and miss. And a more expensive power cord will not always sound better.....depends ...
Speakers that mate well with Jeff Rowland electronics Dunlavy has recommended Jeff Rowland with their speakers, and was using some Rowland gear at the last CES to drive their smaller speakers.
Girlfriends and wifes, how do YOU cope? I was married to an audiophile once. I encouraged him to buy all the equipment he wanted, as it kept him busy and out of my hair. I finally threw him and his awful, bright, screechy sounding stereo out, and that's when I bought my first system and...
What tube preamp to get to smooth out the sound????? Cornfedboy - I really don't want to trash the $2000 cable as I'm sure it sounds wonderful in other systems. It is a popular cable, and I don't want to be tarred and feathered by everyone that owns it :) The point was that a $500 cable sounded bett...
What tube preamp to get to smooth out the sound????? Hi Angela! Yup, it's me. The same Suzy from AA. After 20 years and more component changes than I can remember, my experience has been that just about anything has the potential to make a big difference in your system. The biggest difference I hear...
What tube preamp to get to smooth out the sound????? Onhwy61 is correct, you may not need a preamp. Another suggestion would be to try a line conditioner or something as simple as a power cord. One example (and I'm sure there are many others) is the TG Audio HSR-I pc, which does a great job of "smoo...
Okay Ladies I really like the 30SE, but if you didn't care for the 50SE, you might not like the 30SE, either. They are very similar (I had a 50SE for about a year and a half.) I also had a VK 500 amp for a couple of years prior to the Plinius.
Okay Ladies I'm not on the sidelines anymore. My first review was in the last issue of TAS (Sue Kraft)I've had a whole *#@*load of gear over the last 20 years -- my current system is Dunlavy SC-IV's, Plinius SA-100MKIII, BAT 30SE, Sony SCD-1 and Harmonic Tech...
