Bookshelf Speakers Sitting On Dual Subs?
Scaling back from dedicated room with audiophile rig into a new home with a great room serving multiple uses. The 8c will sit nicely atop the 3070s about a foot from the brick wall in a room which is open to the second floor, the foyer and the kit...

8cs do have the rear 8" drivers which are great, but this is for a bigger room and to fill in lower end.  The 8cs apparently do rock, but this is a large and oddly shaped room.  Note to above posters pointing out sub placement issues:  DSP, DSP, D...

True. If that's really the only concern, I think I'm good.  The stands bring tweeter/ acoustic center of the 8c to a good height.
Subwoofer Connection: Speaker Level Amp to Line Level on Sub?
imhififan & millercarbonThanks for this.  I'll def keep this in mind as I go forward.  It should be fine if you connect the sub line level rca inputs to your amp speaker blinding posts via a LOC (line output converter). https://images.crutchfi...

Thanks for the input.  There are better solutions for this situation than fooling around with adapters.  Gonna drop back and punt.
SVS SB-2000 Pro/3000 vs. REL T/7x
Thanks for your very helpful answer. Hearing that the 3000 compares very favorably to an S-level REL is great info. I have seen posts on the Rythmik and am very curious.
SVS SB-2000 Pro/3000 vs. REL T/7x
You statement of what you think it does for main speakers says essentially nothing.
SVS SB-2000 Pro/3000 vs. REL T/7x
Specs DO only tell so much.  That said these are two very well known brands.  "REL adds a lot more than just bass" including price and an extensive dealer network.  Really... what does it add?  Other posts and opinions around the internetverse tha...
Rega Apheta 3 Capacitance 1000pF???
I don't know about the Luxman/Rega pairing, but that's interesting to hear.  Keith Herron gave me a full compliment of capacitance plugs to play with for the VTPH-2A/Rega P10 pairing.  I've been meaning to try them, but haven't mustered the energy...

Velcro as Acoustic Isolation?
oldhvymec I was supposing that vibration making it into the velcro would be largely dissipated as heat given the interface of the high surface area of the hook and loop fasteners.
Velcro as Acoustic Isolation?
Yah, I'm more interested in the theory and application of Velcro as a energy sink.  I'm perfectly happy with my set-up.  With heavy duty Velcro, the surface area involved and mechanical interface seems to be a nice way to dissipate energy running ...
Acoustic Revive RR-77, 777, 888 Schumann Generator
For whatever reason, I had overlooked that it was a Schumann device.  Or since I bought it so long ago it had slipped my mind and hadn't looked to see how many inexpensive units were on the market these days.  Just bought a couple inexpensive ones...
