Personality Type?
Hmmm... I thought it would be an interesting subject... guess not. Lesson learned about sharing any information not relative to a piece of audio hardware. Not interested in analysis of myself or anyone else. I prefer self-awareness. I gave a few e...
Personality Type?
Exactly, that's the sort of qualities I am curious about. I like to dabble in quantum mechanics and am in awe of the seeming chaos around us. Seems that the pursuit of a unifying theory is humankind's quest for making sense of the universe? Then a...
Aeris speakers amp
@sm121055 After spending about a year and a half with the Pass Labs amps, they have proven to be the amps for me. I have no desire to look to something else as I am quite satisfied with my setup as is. I did try every connection permutation with...
Legacy Audio Aeris vs "V"
I wanted to audition a Coda 16.0 amp but none were available for home audition and there is no dealer remotely near me. Actually I think your lower price statement is questionable. The PL 260's and the Coda 16.0 are priced similar with the Coda $3...
Legacy Audio Aeris vs "V"
traction143    Thank you for your informative description as that type of feedback from an owner of both speakers is very informative. Since I posted this question I have moved to a lake house with a slightly larger room than I had before. I wa...
Legacy Focus XD - will I ever upgrade?
Hi Mike, I can't really comment on it for home theater with the ability to bypass, but I do remember a disusion some time ago on here about that subject. You may elect to email Brice Auxier at Legacy for more specific and accurate information.
Legacy Focus XD - will I ever upgrade?
I upgraded from a pair of original Focus to the Aeris and have found the difference to be quite astounding. The upgrade from the XD, since it is a newer version, might not be as compelling. The most improvement was with vocals and mid-range. I tri...
Legacy Audio Aeris vs "V"
@sounds_real_audio Could you expand on that just a bit? I've heard that Aeris- HT Whisper-Music and V-music?@douglas_schroeder Yes, I am familiar with your reviews. The one on the V was quite long, detailed and informative. I mean that as a compli...
Looking for input on Legacy Audio speakers purchase.
You couldn't go wrong with either one I would suppose. The Focus is a fine speaker and I am sure the design and driver changes over the years since I had my old pair, have really improved them. You have copious amount of power to drive them like t...
Looking for input on Legacy Audio speakers purchase.
My room is 16x24 and I wouldn't say it is too "small". Then again, I have a preference for floor standing speakers as I prefer their presence as opposed to bookshelf speakers. An 8" woofer just doesn't do it for me. Comparing apples to oranges as ...
Looking for input on Legacy Audio speakers purchase.
I had an old pair of original Focus speakers and enjoyed them for over 25 years driving them with PS Audio 250 Delta monoblocks. My biggest issues with them were trying to tame the bass (the newer Focus have 2 driven woofers compared to three in t...
Legacy Aeris
If you are referring to the upper grills, they are pressed fit in. A piece of plastic as a lever will pry them out easily.
Legacy Aeris
I have a pair of Aeris. What fabric are you referring to? The fabric grilles are held on magnetically. Or are you asking about the cloth covering the upper dipoles and crossover?
Sound and quality of Legacy Speakers
I had an over 25 year old pair of the original Legacy Focus speakers purchased when they were named Reel To Reel. They served me well over the years paired with old PS Audio 250 Delta mono's. I have recentlyupgraded to a pair of Aeris paired with ...
Aeris speakers amp
Well......After much research, I decided to get a Pass Labs x-260.8 from Reno HiFi. Kent at Pass Labs and Mark at Reno were very helpful. My reasoning: Bipolar vs. MOSFET...... I've heard the description of the two as Top-Down vs. Bottom-Up. Not ...
