Cartridge new or used ?
I guess one exception could be where the stylus is user replaceable and the price is appropriate for such a contingency. Even then one takes one’s chances which is why I won’t do it again. I bought a used Pickering XSV3000 that came without a styl...
This question is aimed to TRUE Elec Engineers, not fuse or wire directionality believers.
But there is no dark side of the moon; as a matter of fact it's all dark.

Which Class D Amplifier? PS Audio, Ghent, Nord, Merrill or other???
Gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductors may be desired over silicon carbide (SiC) for power transistor applications because of the greater bandgap of GaN’s 3.4 eV compared to SiC’s of 1.1 ev, but there still exists a fundamental challenge of not bein...

The 300 uses a different module than the 700 simply because it is a stereo amp; the 700 is a monoblock.

Looking for a phone pre to go with my McIntosh MA-6600.
I can only speak from experience from MC phono stages I've owned previously in that price range, but I had good results with Liberty B2B, Aesthetix Rhea, EAR 834P and Manley Chinook. Currently using Manley Steelhead which may be out of your range....
How did a bands' name originate?
Buffalo Springfield was named after a bulldozer brand that I think Stills noticed.
Which Class D Amplifier? PS Audio, Ghent, Nord, Merrill or other???
For the past two months I've been enjoying PS Audio's Stellar M700 monoblocks and these are the best sounding amps I've ever had in my system. My audio buds agree. With return and trade-in offers you can't go wrong by at least trying them out.
