Considering the New Tekton Design Encores? AND Owners Group - Experiences/Questions
So $1,000 extra for high gloss and how much extra for a custom color?  Do you know what any of the colors look like without the high gloss?  Would they be like a flat finish? Thanks,Steve

zvovchik,I bought a DC-30 Digital Signature Cable in Oct., 2016.  I didn't know Lou was sick but when the cable arrived the lettering was mostly worn off.  Lou claimed it was a new cable but I disagreed.  Later he sent me another cable with a lock...
Parasound Halo A21 or Rotel RB-1090?
Angela,Which amp did you buy? Did you audition both? I am trying to decide whether to trade my RB-1090 for the Halo A21.Steve
How is Rotel RCD-1520 CD player? Anyone owns one?
Here is a review from the UK regarding the RCD-1520. It's a good review. My 1520 seems to have broken in more since I thought it was broken in. I am getting awesome detail and sound! Even my wife can hear the improvements! It's definitely better t...
How is Rotel RCD-1520 CD player? Anyone owns one?
Homer,I owned the Rotel RCD-1072 for five years and loved it! The RCD-1520 is much better! The slot load drive doesn't scratch the disks like some car cd players do. It's very gentle and ejects the disk enough to grab it by the sides so you don't ...
How is Rotel RCD-1520 CD player? Anyone owns one?
I just finished burning mine in. I couldn't agree more with the comment about it being the best combination of the Bryston and Cambridge. I have never audtioned the Appolo but I did have the Cambridge in my home for a week and found it too bright....
Cambridge Audio 840C
I have compared it to the Bryston BCD-1. I found the 840C to be bright compared to the BCD-1. If you love bass, the BCD-1 shines, in my opinion.

Doug,Before buying the new Rotel I decided to give the 840C a try at home for a week. It was way too bright sounding for me. Elsewhere on Audiogon somesaid said it took a 300 hour burn-in to emliminate the brightness on the 840C. The only way to d...
Cambridge 840c burn in
I tried the 840C for a week at could not stand the brightness. So if I had purchased it and burned it in for 300-350 hours the brightness would have gone away?

Doug, the new Rotel RCD-1520 should be in the stores by the end of March. I talked to the head of the technical deparment at Rotel's USA headquarters and he has listened to the RCD-1520 and the RCD-1072 side by side. I'm told it's a completely new...

Doug, it unfair of me to ask that question since neither one of us know anything about the new Rotel CDP. I think I will anti up the extra money and go with the Bryston BCD-1. I'm still researching it but it's starting to sound like the right CDP ...

I didn't receive my 840C because the dealer got busted for selling them at too low a price. Cambridge Audio wont ship any more units to him.I own the Rotel RCD 1072 and it's quite a machine for the money. They are introducing a replacement next mo...

Doug, I ordered the Cambride Audio 840C. It replaces my Rotel RCD-1072, which was considred a great player when it was introduced in 2003 (and still is). I only hope the 840C will stand the test of time like the Rotel did.Steve
