Siltech SQ28 mk II vs Purenote Paragon Enhanced Kyoto: Were the interconnects RCA or XLR? What length? Also did you use more than one i/c and what components were connected with these cables in your evaluation?
Need advice on power cords for my Ayre system A good inexpensive PC is better than stock. There are many good ones. Do a search here for more info.
Shielded or Unshielded power cords Shielded is best for any digital component. For amps it does not matter, IMO.
Run cable through metal stand? Would not worry too much, Art. Put them in the pipe.
low resistance and highest quality Speaker cables Infinity RS 1-B's, cool. Had a pair once and ran Music Hose cabling. I agree, bigger gauge is not always better. You may like Silversmith ribbons.
Suggestions for fully shielded power cord... Pure Note Paragon is fully shielded. I have three of them in my system. Very flexible and quiet.http://www.purenote.com
1/2 Meter Interconnect Good Idea? NO! Absolute bunk.
Powercords for Krell 400xi ? Pure Note site: http://www.purenote.com. Tim says look for a sale in March.
Has anyone experienced PNF Audio's cables? Great, glad you are happy!Maybe it has to do with, we have heard this all before; "Best kept audio secrets." I have also plugged a few brands but I am tired of the cable hype. Just want to listen to some music...
Carbon and silver conductors Perhaps Mike Wolff (Wolff Audio)can answer this. He works with carbon and silver wire.
Need advise choosing speaker wire Pure Note Paragon. Up there with the best and they are very transparent in my system. You can buy them direct with a 30 day trial.http://www.purenote.com
What about power cords to mate Krell 650MC amps? I agree with Drrdiamond BUT,I replaced my Pure Note Sigmas with their enhanced Paragon PC and realized better sonics on my Krell amps. I bought them on sale for $250, 2m.
RCA Digital: Stealth, Pure Note, Cerious A recent thread: http://forum.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/fr.pl?fcabl&1102613341&read&3&4&I have a single box SACD player so I have no need for a digital cable but a few friends with DCS gear feel the Paragon is very analog sounding.
Could some one explain how to buy best cables? You don't have to spend thousands to get good cables. Do a little research and deal with the direct order cable suppliers that have been in business a number of years. There are many good ones such as Pure Note, RSA, Silver Audio, etc.
"Light" power cord recommendations Pure Note Paragon, $250. Best lightweight cord I have tried (very detailed and tight powerful bass). Also consider TG Audio SLVR but more dollars. |
