@millercarbon- I have to agree with @thecarpathian. How can every little thing be “startlingly better”? There is no scale of degrees of improvement? Suspension helps turntables, phono stages, amps and preamps, speakers all incredibly? Nothing is a...

So what are the magic minerals you add to your paint? Cryo?

Sorry - I have no idea he was putting shungite (whatever that is) on his "electrical service" and where that ends.Like I said in theory it may have an effect. Whether or not you can hear it is another issue. Unless he shungites the electricity fro...

@theaudiotweak - is comedian your full time job?

In short, theoretically everything that touches the audio signal, power (from the electric company to the component) or sound waves coming from the speakers matters. In reality, only some are audible. I have done several tweaks - in my mind if it i...
Experience with HFTs
Pods under my amp and phono stage.
Experience with HFTs
I will say I was not impressed with  on my amp and phono stage, only my turntable.
Experience with HFTs
So you guys don’t use acoustic panels or bass traps and use the HFTs instead of them? What are ECT and PHT - are they alternatives to HFTs? It’s quite an alphabet soup.I was skeptical about the Townshend pods but was blown away at the improvement ...
My ears are ready to retire!
It’s not a garage system, it’s a bedroom clock radio. When I bring it down to the garage, It makes me realize how much time I am obsessing over every superficial scratch on my car or dirt every time have to change a CD. Otherwise I would only have...

Hey @analoguefan - sounds like you are not really leaving audiophiledom, just shrinking its footprint in your house.Thats’s great. Be careful- soon you’ll get a turntable and start back down the rabbit hole.

He said all in one. I thought that meant built in speakers. Once you start with separate speakers, there are some pretty nice small ones that can be expensive and you can get a nice expensive integrated amp that has a digital music tuner. He said ...

@mahgister- I am not opinionated at all. I just want to know why. I posted 2 ways I could be swayed 2/26 @ 11:13AM (I can’t figure out how to copy on my iPad and am too lazy to walk to my office laptop).I am very open minded and always want Improv...

@millercarbon- Chuck you have got to be kidding me. “I don’t spend a lot of time obsessing over minutiae”. Absolutely hysterical! 7836 posts and counting. I like AG, especially for its entertainment value, but it is at least 50% minutiae, and prob...

Depends as the posts above request on what your specifics are in terms or room size and what you want to spend.I move my bedroom clock radio BOSE wave radio down to my garage when I wash my car and I am surprised how pleasant it is for background ...
