Opinions on NAD please
In general i like the nad sound period. I have the home theater amplifier - the nad t778 - it has had issues with shutting down randomly and going into protection mode - i have had it worked on about 3 times - shipping it to a service center to ge...
Looking for integrated solid state amp for daily usage
a peachtree gan-fet class d    its very direct and tube-like - sweet but not sugary - ballsy but not overwhelming as much as we try to go back to solid state amps - my discovery of the peachtree never fails to impress me - not all of time - but...
New MOFI speaker (Andrew Jones)
ive had this speaker for about 3 weeks now - its one of the few speakers where i actually really like the fact that the treble and bass are all one driver . Because its so one pieceish - its very clean and tight  Coherence with a capital C make t...
GaN amps: Peachtree or LSA Voyager?
markmuse - Out of the box - i would say 90% of what i have owned  over the last 30 years - sounded really good    if you can say that you still like them in 30 days - then those amps are special
Competitive class D amp suggestions
ghdprentice: i probably have said that im not in the market for a new amp - about 100 times - until i hear an amp that i really like a lot - its amazing how sound quality - if its good - changes my mind about not being in the market for something...
GaN amps: Peachtree or LSA Voyager?
"Over on the other selling site, there's someone unloading their LSA right now for $1700.  They can't have had it for very long, wonder why they're selling."   whats the difference why - ive had about 50 different pieces of gear over the last 30...

for you to say that the peachtree is far behind the purifi is kinda ridiculous - this has not been my experience - at least compared to the nad purifi. i thought what sounds better in the long term  - is the most important criteria -
Competitive class D amp suggestions
"how would you characterize, roughly, sonic differences between Ncore, Purifi and GaN amps ? Why you decided to try Peachtree 400 if you already had another GaN module amp? "   My Peachtree Gan sells  for $3000 - My Nad amp is purifi at $1,999 -...
Competitive class D amp suggestions
I have the "peachtree gan" and after 1 month i can honestly say that this amp is a high end amp. Very subtle - Not in your face at all - doesnt call attention to itself. Embracing - Good - Direct (In a nice way)
peachtree gan 400 is very good
that is what i hear about peachtree amps - every amp they come out with is better than previous amps. the gan 400 is a bit of a sleeper - you would never in a million years think when you got it - that it was any good or just run of the mill at b...
Any GaN amp good with Acoustats?
also - the peachtree gan is 400 watts per channel into 8 ohms - capable of driving anything methinks. and sounds good as well.
peachtree gan 400 is very good
the forgetting about how the system sounds and immersing myself in the music is very confronting to me. im so use to tinkering for the last 28 years - listening to music just for the music and not worrying about the system and the cables and the ...
peachtree gan 400 is very good
"So you’ve heard a lot or all tube amps at this price in your system...?"     Well not all - but cayin, primaluna, cary, audio research, and conrad johnson and jolida so not real high end - but high end for their stuff
peachtree gan 400 is very good
your right on about gan amps - especially this one - closing some gaps I think its also a given - and also you need a decent preamp to get the performance i am talking about, you cant use a preamp - that costs $200 tube or solid state and expect ...
peachtree gan 400 is very good
so true - although i am ever so guilty of the amp that impresses right away over the years and not really head over heels with it a month later - this seems like the reverse of that
