Preamp Deal of the Century Tom,Does the Cortese have a phono stage (I can't seem to keep all the models straight)? The Chenin has a phono stage using the 6922's, which are in the front most position. Confusing as both tube sets have a 9 pin configuration....
Preamp Deal of the Century Slowhand,You got it: 6922's in the front. Then sit back and enjoy!!
Preamp Deal of the Century Kgturner is correct. The switch layout on my Chenin is as described. HT bypass is between the towers, mute on/off front right side, switches closest to the 6SN7 tubes are high/low gain - left/right.

what would be a good mat for a VPI SCOUT JWM9 No, and none. The acrylic platter/clamp system are designed to provide you with all you need for great playback. Most aftermarket mats are designed to compensate for a platter deficiency.

What concerts have your kids dragged you to? In 1995, I took my 12 yo son and a bunch of his 12 and 13 yo friends (male and female) to see Dave Matthews Band. I was stunned at how great they were. Extended jams and very tight musicianship. Unfortunately, in 2005, they are still playing the s... |
