What’s really hurting the audio hobby?
I disagree that price hurts this hobby. Great value is not likely to be found when buying brand-new, but there’s always opportunities that come up where someone wants to liquidate a perfectly good item, and often for less than 50 cents on the doll...

Simple logistics has hurt both the music industry and the HiFi retail landscape. The primary bankroll for both of these used to be plentiful. What changed? The methods of consumption and the mindset by this demographic that they shouldn’t have to ...
I lied to my wife about the price of Stax 009S headphone
Ahhh, to have the sound system in the grand ballroom, (er, 16’x20’x9’ family room) instead of relegated to a 12’x12’x8’ former spare bedroom! It’s enough that my wife agrees to my quest for bigger and better audio gear and material to play on it. ...
