Absorbers or Diffusors for 1rst/2nd refl. points?
Thanks for these.to Herman - took your advise the last time , was very impressed by the review, particularly as I have Virgos & know the importance of setting them up. Thinking we spoke the same language, mailed 8th Nerve but never heard back....

Supratek preamps--more laid back or forward ?
Hi there,I have a Syrah & find that the pre itself tends toward middle of the road in the best possible sense.Dynamics & bass are better than any ss pre I've owned which makes it a bit more forward than most valve pres I've had, and all th...
amp transformer hum through speakers ?
Hi there,I should have qualified my reply by saying - if all else fails !Had lots of problems with grounding loops trying to improve? my house earthing. An extra earth spike connected to the system was great with one amp & caused an obvious an...
amp transformer hum through speakers ?
Hi Mike,if this is giving you problems, try a set of HT cberlinks between pre & power/s.Cured all sorts of problems I was having, probably due to breaking the grounds between the components. Mail me direct if you want to discuss more.Simon

Found the new album disappointing - prefer the first two.I picked them up by chance on the basis anything produced by Alison Krauss couldn't be bad.Check out the Creekdippers - you'll hate them then come to love them (the vocals are a bit eccentri...

Getting and keeping records clean................
Hi Jyprez,I would agree with you - but find old jazz records like NOS tubes, usually a waste of money unless you have a machine that can repair years of abuse and another machine to fix noisy tubes would be a boon - I wonder, has anyone tried usin...

Shunyata taipan or Python, for BAT?
Hi jim,the only way your going to know is trying them in your system, - the spice analogy was spot on. Get them on a try/return basis & make sure they are burnt in.They make more differnce than components and when u change components, you'll h...
