Burning question TejayThank you for your response, it is great hearing from someone with such expertise. With replacement in mind, I might venture into the world of streaming, high rez down loads, computerized audio etc., but allot to learn. Richard
Who did hear the new Pass Labs .8 series amps? I just took delivery on a pair of XA160.8, which replaced XA160.5. I thought I would keep my 160.5's for ever, they were incredible sounding. The tamber and tone were so correct and musical. Then along came the 160.8, the first thing that came out...
Pass Labs 350.5 or 600.5 owners--breakin time..... I agree with HiFiguy, the relationship is a little rocky in the beginning, but after about 300 hrs they sing sweet like a bird. Well worth the wait.
Pass Labs users. Next upgrade? Since I have a fairly long history with Pass gear and many brands of tube gear, I would like to offer my two cents. I also owned an X 350. Thsi was after owning a Sonic Fronties Power 2. I felt that I was missing a little with the SF am so I went ...
bat vk-51se vs. audio research ref2mkii I would also like to reinforce the previous opinions. However great the X350 is, the X350.5 is a quantum leap forward in nuance, detail and musicality. That change will give you a sure improvement in sound. The preamp change will be sidewaby at be...
Difference between Wilson WITT mk1 and mk2 I have owned both. The obvious diffeence between the MKI and MKII is the finish. Not so obvious is the increase in woofer size from (if I remember correctly) 12" to 13" and a slight crossover change. The actual construction of the cabinet is also ...
Anybody traded in Pass amps thru AV Logic? I did the Pass upgrade with AV Logic and the only hold up was the wait with Pass, as mine was one of the first off the press. AV could not have been easer to deal with. I traded a 350 for 350.5, WOW am I happy with it. It will be worth the wait ev...
Calling PassLabs 350.5 owners. I also have a 350.5 coupled with an XO.2 driving a Tyler Woodmeres. Wow, what a match made in heaven. When I added the .5 series my whole system disappeared. All that is left is an incerdibly effortless wall of music. This combo is just fun to lis...
Pass Labs X-250 vs. X-600 I would highly recommend you listen to the 350.5 before you make a decision. I have owned one for six months and am completely enamoured with it. The .5 improvement isn't subtle at all. As much as I liked my 350, I couldn't go back.Richard
Review: Pass Labs X350.5 Amplifier Greta review. I have owned many tube and solid state amps in my time, and the X350.5 I have owned for several months now, has far exceeded my expectations. It takes a long time to burn in and come into it's won, but when it does, WOW. It truly doe...
Anyone using a Pass 250.5? I have been using a Pass X350.5 for three months. I have owne many amps over the years both solid state and tube. This is my all time favorite. It leaves so little sonic signature that it is amazing. It really makes me feel like I am listening to ...
Pass Labs X0.2 vs. X1 Just to put a good word in for the X0.2, I have been through many preamps, and when I put the X0.2 in my system I just sort of forgot aobut it. I haven't ever thought about repalcing it and I have joyfully had it for two years. It just seems to no...
Anybody Heard Tyler Acoustic Woodmeres? I currently own a pair of Woodmeres. Their strengths are dynamic contrasts, very accurate and deep bass, and a midrange to die for. The sound stage is huge and would work well in your room. They are amazingly uncolored. I have had them for a year ... |
