Coda 11, Schiit Tyr, JC5 or ??? The Tyrs are incredible. I kept them and returned the $6800 Pass XA-30.8. Nothing against the Pass, just about how great the Tyrs are at half the cost.
Any owners of Schitt Bifrost 2? I had the Bifrost 1 Multibit, which sounded great. I moved to a Yggy OG and it blows the Bifrost out of the water…
Are REL the most Musical Subs? I replaced my S/510s with Rythmik F12 Gs and couldn’t be happier. They are every bit as fast and musical as the Rels and dig much deeper.
Coda #8, Pass XA25, or Schiit Tyr to replace PS Audio M700 @thriftyaudio That's too bad! I have always gotten a prompt response when I've reached out to Schiit. I don't know why you wouldn't have heard anything back. Also weird about the fuse issue. I hope the XA-25 turns out to be the ticket for you then.
Coda #8, Pass XA25, or Schiit Tyr to replace PS Audio M700 @thriftyaudio Glad to hear it! They really are crazy good outstanding amps. I think a lot of people ignore them because of the price or because they think of Schitt as some ‘discount-and-therefore-second-rate’ brand, but that is their loss. For po...
Coda #8, Pass XA25, or Schiit Tyr to replace PS Audio M700 @thriftyaudio Enjoy the Tyrs! I hope they are as satisfying for you as I have found them in my system. One important thing though - they take a good 1-2 weeks to fully settle in. For the first few days they were bass pussycats. The Aegir was thund...
Coda #8, Pass XA25, or Schiit Tyr to replace PS Audio M700 @thriftyaudio I originally was running a single Schitt Aegir and was happy with it. But I was really curious about the Pass stuff, so I popped for the XA 30.8. There was a lot about the Pass that was great, but when I swapped the Aegir back in I w...
Coda #8, Pass XA25, or Schiit Tyr to replace PS Audio M700 The Schitt Tyrs are outstanding. I returned the Pass XA-30.8 in favor of the Tyrs. The hefty amount of money saved was a nice bonus.
Stereophile review of the $30,000 tekton speakers I had Double Impacts before moving up to the Encores, which I’ve had now for 3 years. They are outstanding. I have also heard Moabs and Ulfs, which are impressive for sure, but I have to say I prefer the Encores. And unlike many other commenters, ...
Deoxit Gold...Not Just For Tubes? Thanks for the feedback! I will start applying and see where it takes me.
How To Keep Cat Off Stereo Equipment? Thanks for the input. I will try some sort of scatmat thing, see if she gets the message that way. The stereo system is in our living room, so no way to keep her out. When she originally arrived on our doorstep last year she was underfed and likel...
Herbie’s Spike Decoupling Gliders: my…experience @nyev I hope they work out well for you!
Herbie’s Spike Decoupling Gliders: my…experience @nyev just that the giant threaded gliders are intended for speakers, and the tenderfeet are designed for components. I imagine they use a similar technology. The tenderfeet are easy to simply pop underneath components, no need to remove original ...
Herbie’s Spike Decoupling Gliders: my…experience @nyev After the success I had with the gliders I decided to try out the Tenderfeet. They had a flash sale, and I figured what they hey, knowing that I could return them if I didn't notice a difference. So I put them under my preamp, DAC and amps. ...
Herbie’s Spike Decoupling Gliders: my…experience I found the Herbies giant threaded gliders to be just the ticket for me. I previously bought, tried and returned Gaia I’s and Townshend Podiums, which sucked away too much bass and gave the sound a harsher feel overall. Removing them after having ... |
