Marantz SA-7s1 laser replacement/calibration?? Hello, I wish you luck in getting your SA-7 player repaired. The SA 7 player is several years out of production, so it is indeed likely that the laser assembly, known as SACD-M1, might be out of stock in the Marantz supply of parts. It's just that...
Marantz SA-KI Ruby SACD Player I have a Ruby player. I have had it since July 2020, so about 20 months. Some things to note for new owners here. The player should be left ON all the time. The player automatically goes to Standby Mode after about 20 minutes of non use. Standby M...
Speaker positioning: why do audiophiles neglect this so much? Hm, I think you meant to write "Elevator".
Speaker positioning: why do audiophiles neglect this so much? Good to have this discussion and all the responses. A few responders have mentioned that they do not have dedicated rooms, with a bit of lament. A dedicated room is not necessary, but dedicated music listening is. In other words you need to just l...
Speaker positioning: why do audiophiles neglect this so much? @sonic79 Thanks
Speaker positioning: why do audiophiles neglect this so much? Sonic79, Well 19 positions and 19 different sounds. How did you decide what you liked best? Did you have some kind of reference sound for this. And the precisely placed listening chair????? I assume it is on some kind of centered axis between th...
Speaker positioning: why do audiophiles neglect this so much? Ah, now getting somewhere. Yes, if you want optimum speaker positioning it is going to be in a room where music is primary and you sit and listen to the music. For background listening, nothing is very important. The methods of using microphone ...
Speaker positioning: why do audiophiles neglect this so much? The speaker-room interface is the most important aspect in getting good sound from one's audio system. It is really the first thing that needs to be attended to when setting up an audio system. Here are some links to the best places to start on ...
Denon dcd 110 or Marantz saki Ruby? Thanks so much for all of this. I now have the Service Manual. I have had my player since August 2020. I only play discs. I have about 2000 hours on each laser. Now I can keep track of this, which is good. I live in Australia and have a full 4 y...
Denon dcd 110 or Marantz saki Ruby? Sericolo, Another question. I have accessed Aging Mode per your directions above. TB1 is which laser? I would then presume TB2 would be the other. There is also a T21 and a T22. What are they? I presume the numbers are hours. How did you find ...
Denon dcd 110 or Marantz saki Ruby? Sericolo, Where did you obtain the Service Manual for your Ruby player? Steve
Marantz SA-10 After a bit of thought................... The SA-10 output stage would be like the SA-11 output stage and run everything through the balanced output stage and then sum the + and - legs for the single ended rca's. The Ruby would be like the 8005 a...
Marantz SA-10 Jayctoy, That is quite the assortment of players there. FWIW, I wouldn't mind having an SA-10 as I now have a fully balanced amplifier. It's just that where I live, Australia, the SA-10 is 11K AUD and unaffordable for me. Steve
Marantz SA-10 Cmach, I have owned and listened to a Marantz SA-8260 from 2003 to 2020. All the Marantz entry level players were about the same up to and including the SA-8005. They all benefitted from a new analogue output stage. I had my own unique design gat...
Master Set Master Set is for setting the speakers only so turn the subwoofer OFF when doing it. You then reintegrate the subwoofer after setting the speakers. |
