The bearing is not as old as the TT. I changed it when I bought the 20kg BN platter, less than 10years ago. I emailed S. Yorke for his SYD9 prices and fab delay. Here is his complete answer pasted here : « Hi, No, sorry, I don’t do that audioph...

Dear Raul, Simon Yorke is very interesting. I saw his son builds the SID 9 TT, but don’t know the price. As I understand it, it is better to buy the TT with its own tonearm and possibly an Allaerts cart, for having the best possible Yorke sound. ...

As you speak about the Townshend platform : I will try to put it under my TW Acustic Raven AC. I mean : unscrewing the TT’s feet and put it bare on the platform. With the Townshend’s feet you can level the TT who’s weight is uneven as 2 tonearms w...

@dhcod : yes it’s a possibility also. With the money spared I could buy Uber tonearms like Glanz 1200. But I’m an audiophile after all, 😎 and in a few years I will be retired with restricted financial possibilities.😏

The Balance is out of reach except a used model. It seem th tube PSU is mandatory with also theHRS base, and these « accessories «  significantly p raises the price. Never heard SME and opinions on them are convergent concerning build quality but ...

Thanks very much for this answer. I didn’t think these « little » MS were that good. I will investigate further but it seems the majority of these TTs are from Japan or US so have to convert to 230V.

Thanks for your answers and opinions.I didn’t think Origin Live could be that good. Interesting.I’m a bit surprised nobody talked about  Verdier or SME nor Brinkmann that are the more often talked about in this price range.

Speaking strictly from a musical point of view, if I decided to go Kuzma, I would buy the Ref2 with 4points tonearm. It looks to be less hifi than the others, but I never compared it the the XL. I think it’s the beautiful sleeping in the Kuzma ran...

I hardly dare to say it here, but the one that I’m looking for is the Verdier Platine. I know it’s an oldie but the ones who have one generally never sell it. But that’s me. Here un France it is 7400€ euros.

Kuzma Stabi R looks good and you can install several arms. That’s good option, but, as time often says the truth, it seems that for many Kuzma lovers and users, that, in their line of TTs, the Reference would be «Belle inconnue », more musical tha...

What about Air Tight ATM1 ? Heard it was a great configuration.
What say you?
I suggest to the ones who haven’t done it yet, to read the excellent Jeff Day’s  chronicles about the Western electric kind of replicas, made on the same criteria’s (tinned copper, same diam, etc…, but without plastic isolant), by Mr Duelund. Bel...

SME is a very good choice. Products are well conceived and reliable. But their arms like model IV and V, as good as they are, have no way to adjust azimuth and this is a pity for such expensive products. If you want to adjust that you have to use ...

You should consider only tables that accept at least 2 tonearm easily.  When I bought my TW Acustic Raven with a 4 arms possibility, I never thought I would need a second tonearm. But as I realized, a few years later that a good part of my library...
Who Tried Power Conditioners Over The Years and No Longer Use Them Today, Any Why?
After using Lessloss's first filter, 2 different Bybees, I stopped on a Torus AVR16 : Air Tight ATM3, pre ans sources all connected to it. End game.
