Sistrum or Neuance or...? No, haven't been paid a thing. I'm just trying to help other audiophiles out. It really is that good. I've been through a lot of tweaking. This is really the best. It's a full system upgrade and I've got good stuff to begin with.
What are your favorite monitors? Currently, I am running the Diapasons - adamante's. They go down into the 30's and image very well. Depth is also outstanding. I have replaced the stands they come with, to the sistrum stands which was a big improvement. But for everyone out there...
Sistrum or Neuance or...? Guys, I got the upgraded amp stand and yes its quite a nice improvment. I am definitely keeping it. Everything is just better. Better dynamics, lower noise floor, bigger soundstage, cleaner sound, better highs and lows. It took about 10 days for t...
First Sound compared to Supratek, VAC, or Audio No The VAC REN is fantastic - agree completely with Bhouser. Bested a lot of preamps that I listened to, albeit not the ones listed above - Kevin, is one of the best if not the best in highend audio to deal with. He is open and honest - always willin...
Are Wilson speakers springbok10, you are on the right track. Personally, I find tubes more engaging..so I would consider that as an option. There are a lot of speaker options in your price range. Part of the fun is the "listening search". As an interim suggestion, le...
Sistrum or Neuance or...? I tried various "stuff". You can email me for details. What surprised me the most was the level of improvement. Yes, I expected an improvement, but not as much as I got with the sistrum amp stand (and I have the lesser model). I have VAC equip. am...
Sistrum or Neuance or...? I have found the sistrum stands to work very well in my system. Surprising that PF recently recommended a $47k amp ONLY if you buy Sistrum stands with it? Well, it works very well on my "much less expensive amp" :). Try it, what have you got to lo...
Sistrum or Neuance or...? Gee, I posted the cement thing without even being a Sistrum owner...no bandwagon here. However, since posting, I recieved Sistrum stands for my speakers. Needless to say, I haven't "tested" them, nor have I returned to my physics books of twenty p...
What's the best way to clean vacuum tube pins? dip them in cleaning acid. You can get it at hardware store. Be careful of course.... Dip pin only in a small glass container / small glass bowl or pyrex (only about 1/8 to 1/4 depth of acid) for about 30 seconds and then neutralize in baking soda...
Sistrum or Neuance or...? science has still not proven why cement hardens, go figure...last I looked folks were using a lot of it and liking it.
Theta Data basic II or universal II? I currently do not use the laser disc. It is a dedicated CD transport only. Theta data III? Is this a laser also, or cd only?
Help, is it clipping? or cables? or...feedback. Thanks for the great feedback. I beleive you are right on. My tubes in the amp are VERY old. Perhaps its like the frog being boiled in water - start with nice water and heat slowly...I will have new tubes to try soon and update. Any other thoughts...
Biggest Sonic Improvement Black Diamond - those things under speaker spikes. Yes, you can't believe teh difference. I am surprised there isn't more out there on this tweak.
The Best Speakers for a Small Room The Diapason's Diamonte II's are an excellent choice. Disappear in the room. Very musical, refined. Excellent base for a monitor. No real need for sub unless big organ listener. This is not an analytical speaker. One you will be happy with, unless... |
