Here's a fire starter: Analog is as good as SACD
I think it depends on how much you listen to music on a daily basis.Much over 2 hrs a day your brain prefers analog and lets you know it .
For tube sound, which is more important: preamp or power amp?
I agree with tube amp but no longer wish to pay well over a grand for the Sylvania 6550's power tubes it was designed for . If you can even find them. Some say the new Russian Tungsold's are fine, I say they must have neverheard even a GE from the ...
Does anyone use a tuner?
Done deal with this Supreme Court .
Turntable getting back to vinyl
I have a lot of TT setup gear, my sole claim to fame in audio is I'm good at setting up .The mounted come-with carts are often misaligned from factory if it costs 400$ or 4.000 $ .

Yup, I complimented 0-10 on his clarity of thought and the National Socialist Party censor thought that too much . Really bad group .
Favorite Female vocals that give you goose bumps
Why is that embarrassing ? Doris Day could sing as could the South Pacific cast , and sing well .

Clear Day cables vs. Morrow Audio Cables

Who knows, I haven’t heard them all .That said, my Totem Signature 1’s ,2200$ new, I paid 900$ for mine 3-4 years ago do not require a sub for the acoustic jazz and classical I listen to .As most rock is engineered to have big bumps at 80 to 120 h...
Am I an Audiophile, a music lover-or both?
Since they are , like most things in life, not mutually exclusive categories it  simply does not matter .
Changed amplifiers and need some feedback...
Beats me, all I know was I had an Odyssey amp and replaced with a Van Alstine Synergy 450 which was a huge step up .Frank answers the phone as well .

Thanks guys , the  last few posts on "handing off " have been very interesting, to me trying to "catch" it is one of the real fun things in jazz.Lot easier for a non-expert like me to see it from your links  of course .
Why does FM radio sound so good?
Wisconsin Public Radio has an outstanding signal especially at home base in Madison . Took a tour thru the studios a few years back, thoughtmaybe those 8k pro Tascam CD players had something to do with it .I know the least compression possible did .
