Where should the vocal image be?
The Stereophile test CDs also have good recordings of someone walking around the soundstage and stating his position. If your system isn't able to properly place him, something in your setup is off. Yes, more recordings than not will place vocals ...

Architectural Digest finally shows audio gear!
@sandstone Yup, good eye! Sorry for going sideways, but @ghasley gotta mention that the Bosch books by Michael Connelly are some of the best fiction in the genre IMHO. Plenty of jazz recommendations buried in there too! Cheers, Spencer
Recommend best way to compare new speaker to known speakers?
@hz79hc Warren, your "testing" plan strikes me as fraught with stress and forcing you to make tons of conjecture.  For starters, it would help if you posted your system in the member system section. It's not clear if you're talking about using 4o...

Whats on your turntable tonight?
@bkeske  Never heard that album before (Jazz Sur Seine), but as an MJQ Fan, I should check that out. The shocker for me was that Milt Jackson plays piano, not vibes on that album. I didn't even know he plays piano. Geez, what a talent.
Audio research and krell
@unsound You're correct. The FBP-300 has this. I forgot to mention that. Good callout! Cheers, Spencer
