Ever feel like a "low dollar" customer that your dealer doesn't think worth their time? yeah thats a great story. Unfortunately rare. The story with the Ferrari and similar happens all the time. I was once shopping for Shindo gear and got a nice 4 hour listening session which I appreciate until this day.But even that was closed a bit...
Should people with no turntable or reel to reel be considered audiophiles? Panamera, Cayenne and Macan owners do not get the pass.Actually even the new model owners who are posers for most part.I can tell you with certainty after close to 20 years that Porsche owners totally changed and not for the better...As for audiop...

Tempted to buy a Macintosh I have the Almarro 318b and several other including Shindo, Trafomatic, etc.If your speakers are high efficiency and staying, I would look into McIntosh MC30 or 40 or the 225 stern amp fully restored.I also own the 225 and the MC 30 and happy with...
Anyone experienced speed issues with Artemis Labs SA-1? Checked the pulleys - no friction. Not sure about the bearing but does not seem to have an issue. After 6 full records I had no issues whatsoever. Hopefully this was it.If it comes back again I may do some deeper investigation.
Anyone experienced speed issues with Artemis Labs SA-1? Thanks! Will check it and report back.I hope i don't have a motor issue - it is a rare Swiss motor as I understand it and was developed for the TT. I hope not.
Anyone experienced speed issues with Artemis Labs SA-1? well I was very excited that the low speed disappeared during my next session a day or two later. Then of course after 3 LPs it came back...not sure but perhaps it is the power supply acting up?
Anyone experienced speed issues with Artemis Labs SA-1? thanks! It was weird as it happened after a few LPs.I did not listen since then, but checked the speed with the cell phone app and it did not drop.I will listen tonight again and see if it will re-occur.
Anyone experienced speed issues with Artemis Labs SA-1? no it is actually the TT unfortunately.I use the Eagle/Roadrunner from Phoenix Engineering with one of my other TTs. I know exactly what the difference is on the app and the actual rpm. The app was just to assess the drop in rpm which is about 2.0...
Recommendations for Vintage Speakers Many great suggestions. To me - after 55 pairs of vintage speakers and many from the above lists - ADS stands out. The 1090/1290 is the sweet spot with the 1090 having less cabinet resonance. If you can get a pair of 1590 likely you are done with ...
Reel to reel Agree with many before stated including the new tapes.I recently took a plunge into R2R.Ended up with a professionally and fully restored Otari mX5050. These decks are really great as they can run three speeds (3.75, 7.5 and 15 ips - slowest needs...
