Tired wiating - good Bryston/what else to get? try and find used b&k 202 nd have it modified by musical concepts, for under $500 probably closer to 400 you cn have very powerful smooth-sounding amp that should drive anything reasonable
Help w/bad mp3 rips? use exact audio copy and the fgh radium codec i use this and it puts out some pretty good results. EAC allows error correction during extraction and genreally doesnt screw up. Even better if you can find a way to play ogg vorbis files on your ipod...
Have you heard a PC played through a DAC? you can use a high end dac with a pc if you buy a good sound card either one designed for mixing or a high end sound blaster that has a coaxial digital output that will feed 16/44 digital signal to any audo dac.
best used amp for 300- 400 thanks for the responses, after reading some reviews the b&k sounds like the best because my system tends to be a little too bright .
Dell purchase don't waste your money buying a dell, they are generally more expensive than less well known brands for a box full of the same stuff. Slightly smaller brands like micron or abs will give you a much better deal for an equivelent machine
Are you an Audiophille or a Music Lover No.2 ? Assuming my system doesnt break, the music is the way to go. If you never try anything better you can be happy and the system is only an instrement for the music not an end.
Average age of audiophiles I am 17 and started to build a serious system 2 years ago. this hobby quickly eats up a teenage budget and i only have modest system.
Rap music on high-end speakers Alhtough i personaly dilike rap music, as a young, 17 year old audiophile i do have non approved music types like punk and ska as well as more mainstream classic rock and jazz. I have a relativley high end system, rotel and adcom with old infinity...
Inexpensive Pre with headphone jack recommendation i have a rotel rc 970 preamp for sale that has a headphone jack, it sounds great and is cheap for only $200. Most of rotels preamps have headphones jacks and they all sound very good for the price |
