How Things Change Dopogue,I have had the experience more than once of reading through old threads and thinking, "What an odd thing to say." When I checked the member's ID I found my own name appended to the post.I have even gone back and forth in a seemingly confus...
SR XOT Transducer ? Ozzy,Please explain "another cap with holes drilled". I am wondering if copper sleeves would help with Bybee GG speaker bullets. I will give this a try when the sleeves arrive next month.
How Things Change Sufentanil,My music preferences have also broadened significantly in recent years. Many more jazz and classical recordings have found their way into the collection -- as well as a serious amount of blues.
SR XOT Transducer ? OzzyA 1" copper sleeve with a copper cap would do fine. Any play between the XOT and the sleeve could be eliminated with Blu Tack. I think you might even be able to do it effectively without the cap.
why balanced power last before component? Ptss,You're welcome. I have used a daisy-chained front end for years -- iso transformer > power conditioner > power regenerator. I have tried all configurations and this is the optimum configuration in my system. I read a thread on another f...
How Things Change Trelja,Thank you for your kind words. I also consider this a journey -- with a steep learning curve, excuse the pun. I started off with one box and lamp cord 8 years ago. Although I had my first system in 1967 it was only in recent years that I ov...
SR XOT Transducer ? Ozzy,The XOTs were a no-show in my system. They sucked the life out of the music. I imagine this is because I have so much going on between my amp and speakers -- 2 levels of Bybee purifiers and a double dose of Bybee GG speaker bullets. I will be...
SR XOT Transducer ? Ozzy,Glad you find the same. I have ordered smaller diameter sleeves to cover more territory. I hope they improve SQ even more.
NY Audio Show September 26th to September 28th You know, this kind of juvenile and frankly stupid posting was disallowed years ago on the forum. I remember the case of Audiofeil who ended up being banned. I cannot for the life of me understand why the moderator does not step in here. Are we ba...
BANG for the BUCK Gooddomino,Kindly Google the Synergistic Research site for detailed information. A Google search will also turn up information from other sites.
why balanced power last before component? I use an isolation transformer (medical grade) from the wall before my Shunyata Triton. It greatly improves the sound of the Triton vs. taking the Triton directly from the wall.
High Fidelity Cables CT-1designed by Rick Schultz Mrmb,I agree that there seems to be an attempt to constrain comments on this thread -- coming from members with questionable "credentials". In the past, I have been enthusiastic about cables from Synergistic Research, Grover Huffman and HiDiamond....
Girlfriends and wifes, how do YOU cope? Polk432I have a similar approach to yours: "Nobody even gets near my stereo unless I let them."
Cheap tweaks...What would YOU reccomend? You can make your own HFTs for about $1 and save $59 each. Just use your imagination and have a look at Ozzy's post on the subject. You have nothing to lose and a lot to gain. And it's a lot of fun, to boot.
SR XOT Transducer ? Ozzy,I am using an oversize copper sleeve. They are sitting on a table behind the speakers. I use copper sleeves throughout my system on IECs and ICs. But even with the copper sleeves the XOTs are a no-show in my system. This is probably because I... |
