How to change vacuum tubes on the VPI 16.5 ? Straight pull should work. Be aware of a lockiing pin that may be there to keep for tube from twisting, but will not affect a straight pull..
Zerostat or Gruv Glide to rid static? Zerostat or carbon fiber antistatic brush. For a carbon fiber brush, I prefer the Audioquest. Avoid Gruv Glide, you don't want to add any exTraneous lubricant to your vinyl to act as a magnet for dust and grit..
How to change vacuum tubes on the VPI 16.5 ? It's simply a friction fit. Just pull it out firmly, jigglingly as needed to pull it loose. It is not fragile. Easiest to do if you pull out the tower the tube is mounted in so you can get a firm grip..

Cleaning contacts, What first? Lissnr, I'd encourage to at least try the Silclear in those easy to get to places you mentioned. I think you'll find it makes an improvement. I'm a committed user of the Walker Extreme SST, but the Silclear will give you an idea of what sort of im...
Audioquest recordings....... Audioquest sponsored recordings from time to time over the years, there are probably well over a dozen that were released on LP. Because they were done by different recording engineers, there is some variability. Mokave, as you've discovered, is q...
Cleaning contacts, What first? Clean completely first using isopropyl or Kontak (as suggested by Xiekitchen), then apply the Silclear. Don't use the ProGold at all - it's no longer needed. If you nevertheless decide to use Caig Deoxit or ProGold, be sure to do a "rinse" with iso...
Conrad Johnson Premier 12 tube monos The Atma-Sphere M-60 MkIII would be an outstanding match with your Coincident Victories, as Jtimothya suggests. Authority in the bass with excellent resolution and quickness, plus a midrange timbral accuracy that few other tube amps match. Don't l...
Suggestions for Classical Piano "works of merit" Having access to a good library is a great resource, Pscanli.
