I'm not sure where you are going because you've completely contradicted your prior premise, but this needs to be dealt with --->>Check out the frequency response curves on your audiophile speakers and tell me what the curves look like. I bet...
Silver vs. Cooper speakers cables
Baldness has a warm tube-like sound with mid-range bloom, sparkling highs, a huge, three dimensional soundstage and organic musicality. Behives have a hi-fi type sound that is artificially exciting, colored, lacking in palpability, and digital/sol...
Silver vs. Cooper speakers cables
I think it is interesting that you would claim to already know my experience, since you claim I come from a third party perspective, and yet you go on to ask me to spell it out for you. That would make you a sort of Kreskin with Alzheimers or somet...
Silver vs. Cooper speakers cables
The only difference between copper and silver is that silver has slightly less resistance. So, all you have to do is use lower gauged copper and you will get the same effect as using silver. Since silver has slightly less resistance, it is possibl...

Using that criteria, most audiophile grade speakers wouldn't qualify because they don't happen to be used by an audiophile label to mix or master. But, that wasn't the criteria set out by the original poster.

The Mackies beat Dynaudio 1.3's in both shoot-outs and beat Revel M20's driven by a Bryston amp in another. I've heard both the Revel M20's and Mackie HR824's and I wouldn't necessarily say the Mackies sound better, but I think the Mackies sound j...
Music from hard drive better than CD?
The Apogee Mini-Dac has a Big Ben clock in it. I used an M-Audio Audiophile USB Dac before the Apogee and the Apogee Mini-Dac is many jumps in quality better than something like the M-Audio. Completely different ball-park. I also used the M-Audio ...
N802 speaker cable suggestion
I wouldn't think Audience speaker cables would make a good combo with N802's. N802's like lots of power. Audience speaker cables are based on the questionable notion that thinner gauged cables sound best. It's pretty basic -- you're going to suffe...
Review: Acoustic Zen Absolute Interconnect
>>So often flaws in sound can be discovered only in hindsight.<<I have no problem with this concept. I just find it curious when I see a cable review where a cable is deemed to be "that much better" than a previous one, yet the poster ...
Review: Acoustic Zen Absolute Interconnect
The chronology is this --I asked you about the scientific breakthrough that could possibly make these cables sound "that much better" than and "add that sense of organic/musicality" where your previous AZ cables had failed. You told me you had no i...
Music from hard drive better than CD?
If you are computer and tech savvy, prefer PC, and if you want to get really deep into using your computer for not only music, but an entire home entertainment hub, here is a forum that might interest you --http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/forumdisp...
Music from hard drive better than CD?
If you're going to be adding an external hard drive anyway, why not opt for the $499 Mac Mini? I don't think you need a keyboard, but if you connect the Mac Mini to a video monitor, a wireless mouse would be real handy. I would also opt for more RAM.
Music from hard drive better than CD?
>>if you are going to use this computer as a dedicated music transport, it should not even be on the Internet.<<No. You want internet connectivity -- you'll be ripping CD's to your hard drive and you'll be downloading all of the titles...
Review: Acoustic Zen Absolute Interconnect
>>Having compared this personally to Kimber Select, 3035 and prefering it I am surprised someone would be so vitriolic.<<What does your comparison have to do with the the stuff that is on the web-site? Look what you wrote --->>ot...
