Accuphase dac 60
Since Accuphase apparently designs their devices for the same voltage whether balanced or unbalanced, you might try the unbalanced output from the PS Audio DAC for closer comparison.  Are the optical and coaxial digital inputs two different sourc...
Transients hurting my ears on hifi solid state amps
Consider a used Luxman L-550AXII. I had one for a bit, but unfortunately it was damaged in shipping. It’s sound quality is what led me to go with their L-509X. The L-550AXII idle power consumption is “only” 170 watts, which might be less than a tu...
how much should I spend to get a better turntable than my current turntable?
Just trying to be helpful here, but I think the tonearm balancing instructions in the Fluance manual are not as clear as they could be for folks who are not already familiar with the procedure.    Step 6 is: “Set only the counterweight indicato...
How can I add MQA decoding with my current setup?
The way MQA is set up, if you want the fully unfolded MQA data, it has to be performed by the DAC (or whatever piece of hardware has the DAC incorporated). Since your Peachtree’s internal DAC does not unfold MQA you’d need a new DAC to do this. Th...
Suggestions for Digital Audio Recorder
@chris_g  I have a Tascam DA-3000 and it is a great unit, capable of recording up to 24/192 and DSD 5.6. Unfortunately it has now been discontinued. Grab one if you can find one!
DAC diminishing returns
@qkroes  Thank you. That is very helpful.
DAC diminishing returns
@qkroes  Are you feeding your Dave with the M-Scaler, or is your huge improvement TT2+M-Scaler compared to standalone Dave?
Could the new Audender A30 be "the one" for a simple system?
@wjt3  I have an A20. From a music playback perspective it is identical to the A30, just missing the CD ripper and the fancier headphone amp.  I really like it. I have been comparing it to my N20 and a few other separate DACs, and it is neck and ...
Aurender Conductor App
Network connection issues can happen with WiFi extenders too. Make sure your controlling device is truly connected to the same network as your Aurender. Just this morning I tried to connect to one of my streamers, but Conductor couldn’t find it. P...
Aurender N100 or X100?
While I did say the units like to be shut down nicely, it is my experience that the only issue is a somewhat delayed restart. I’ve never had a poor shutdown cause any other issues besides an inconveniently long restart. As for support, it is super...
Aurender N100 or X100?
@artemus_5 , I plugged one of my USB SSDs into one of the available USB ports and could access the files with Conductor. However, after scanning for new files the metadata for these USB located files does not show up in the normal metadata categor...
Aurender N100 or X100?
Hello @artemus_5. I have an N100H, but have not heard the X100L. If you don’t need huge storage capability I definitely recommend the N100H over X100L, mostly because the N100H has a Linear Power Supply. The X100L has a Switch Mode Power Supply, w...
Offline Music Storage & Playback Options
@carzmaguy88  When I said “local” I meant in your living space. You can have your very own network, WiFi and/or Ethernet, to be able to play your music library with a multitude of different hardware options. @soix suggestion is excellent if the Z...
Offline Music Storage & Playback Options
Hi @carzmaguy88  Curious why your WiFi is so bleak? Even if your internet service is painfully slow, you should be able to set up your local network to be fast and responsive between local devices. Wondering what I’m missing here…
Mconnect and Bricasti
You want “Play To” to find the Bricasti. There is a refresh button (circular arrow) to force a new look.  “Browser” is where the music comes from. “Play To” is where the music goes to.
