Tonearm alignment question Get the MintLP for your table Graham arm configuration. I can tell you from experience that the Graham jig has some error in it and cannot get anywhere near the alignment accuracy of the Mint LP arc protractor.
Clearaudio Performance SE It is an excellent table...I kept mine until I upgraded to the innovation series...just more of the good stuff the Performance SE delivers.
Clearaudio " Innovation" - What? Thanks Hiho. When I assemble the table I will endeavor to photo the various steps/parts to get a better understanding on CA's magnetic drive implementation. I will put them up on my website that I will link too.Best,Chris
Clearaudio " Innovation" - What? Thanks for explaining that Lewm ! Best,Chris
Multiple turntables ^^^ I use two separate racks set up side by side with a turntable on top of each. Not yet pictured in my system page. Soon I will be updating those pics when my new table (2nd table)arrives in the next two weeks.
what is the proper loading 12-15-11: DertonarmBTW - heavy tracking force doesn't really "eat" records .... rather very low tracking force in conjunction with high skating.Yeah I know....I forgot to think SPU when we are talking that much force. Cheers !
Which TOWERs work well CLOSE to the BACK WALL? Consider room treatment...Bass traps, first reflection zone absorption and buy what speakers you like that sound the best to you. If your room is untreated, you will never hear the true sonic potential of any speaker you choose. Generally, the clo...
Clearaudio " Innovation" - What? Here is a video of the master innovation be demonstrated by Musical Surroundings at RMAF 2011http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXeL3C4X4SQ&feature=player_embedded#!
Clearaudio " Innovation" - What? 12-14-11: HihoP.S. My concern with the Clearaudio approach is the top deck's bearing. To allow the driven platter underneath the top platter the bearing shaft has to protrude down to hold a platter so naturally it cannot allow for single ball bear...
How long it take before your system/amps sound My amps run Class A so leaving them on 24/7 is out of the question and a waste of electricity. 2 hours on and they are at their best. Still sound good after only 1/2 hr. Pass Labs XA series.
what is the proper loading somewhere greater than 10 ohms. (Recommended load impedance: > 10 Ohm)what cart is it anyway ? That is some heavy tracking force...a real record eater.
Clearaudio " Innovation" - What? ^^^The new (not yet on the CA site) is a quad plinth'd magnetic driven Innovation called the Master. The lower platter is belt driven w/ optical speed control and it magnetically coupled with the record platter above in the same way their statemen...
Clearaudio " Innovation" - What? ^^^ well said Wrm57 ! :-)
Clearaudio " Innovation" - What? There is also a new "Master" innovation (which I will receive shortly). In addition to the ceramic magnetic bearing, it will also employ a similar magnetic drive setup that is used on their statement table ($140,000). Not bad for $24k.
Best platter mat for Acrilic platter ? How does it sound w/o a platter mat ? When clearaudio had mostly acrylic platters in their line, mats were not recommended. |
