What Would You Do with a Sealed, 1st Press Miles Davis "Kind of Blue"?
A spot of mold on one side? Its value drops even further!
What Would You Do with a Sealed, 1st Press Miles Davis "Kind of Blue"?
There should be a PAPER inner-sleve! If not, someone has tampered with it and its value drops!

"Sealed" means that the outer clear plastic wrap is intact with NO opening! If one side is open and the record can be pulled out - NOT worth as much as you think!
Speaker Wire suggestions for feeding Rockport Atria II’s?
+1 yakbob! That Dueland should do quite well, even at 12 ga single-run! I think "wire maniacs" that believe in the efficacy of fancy expensive wire are caught up in a neurotic obsession!

Any wire of 10 gauge and low capacitance will do! No need to be so fretful and neurotic about wire!
Tubes
I myself buy and use vintage tube gear - and tubes! Old ARC, Dynaco, Heath, Harmon Kardon, Scott, Sherwood ... New tube gear doesn't turn me on! And I choose to use vintage speakers also: Altec, JBL, Klipsch ... the Big Three of the high-sensitivy...
Tubes
Here's a significant fact: Modern production tube gear (ARC, CJ. McItosh, VAC ...) ALL come with current production tubes! None use vintage tubes! So I say go ahead and choose from among current production. Vintage tubes can be a crap shoot!
Cognitive Dissonance without the Stress--Digital & Analog At Home
Now to find an LP copy of Monotheist to compare on my vinyl rig!
Cognitive Dissonance without the Stress--Digital & Analog At Home
My recently-acquired Marantz CD67 sounds remarkably fine for a 22 year-old player! Celtic Frost's Monotheist never sounded more ominous and menacing! And I only paid $200 for it in mint condition!

Whitney AND B.I.G.??? Pop and Rap!!! A sell-out by the Hall to MONEY!
Opinions what are the best floor standing speakers in these ranges $$??
DCM Time Windows 1A! Forty years later still World-beaters! A very successful design from Steve Eberbach - over 26,000 pairs sold! If you like the Vandersteen 2's you will love the TW's! Comparable phase-coherent imaging - but superior dynamic ran...
What is the appeal of the Denon 103 cartridges?
I have the 103R on the Pioneer PLX1000 TT. I use it with a Denon SUT into the Robert Grodinsky Research RGR 4 preamp. Noise-free wide dynamic range sound quality!
What is the appeal of the Denon 103 cartridges?
My favorite version is the 103D - higher compliance with an elliptical stylus and tan body. I have one along with a gold body anniversary edition, plus a new 103R and several 103's.
What is the appeal of the Denon 103 cartridges?
Plus the fact that they are still available factory-fresh (unlike other mc cartridges of yore) makes them very appealing to the budget-concious audiophile!
What is the appeal of the Denon 103 cartridges?
The Denon 103 series are a proven and reliable signal source that will give you 90% of what is in those vinyl grooves! And for that last 10% be prepared to pay around 10X the cost of a 103!
