What is the best BNC Digital Cable under $4,000?
There have been police enactments of crime scenes were all the observers' accounts have differed! So I view ALL subjective reports as highly suspect!
What is the best BNC Digital Cable under $4,000?
I am content with my various one-box CD/SACD players! Never felt the need for a separate DAC/Transport! Waste of money IMO!

+1 gosta! And you too mzkmxcv! A digital signal is in NO way "analog" like! The subjective claims of differences are ALL highly suspect! Confirmation bias is the factor at work here! Motivation to hear an "improvement" is certainly enhanced when i...
Why all or most audiophiles are men?
Testosterone! Same thing that makes men go to war!
If some is good, is more better?
Copper Brite! Nothing fancier needed!
Best phono player for newbie with good 2 ch system
+1 reubent and noromance! The Pioneer PLX1000 is a solid contender in the "best under $1K" TT's! A quality machine! I have one with a Denon 103R cartridge. If total cost is a factor, then buy the new Grado Black Prestige cartridge from Needle Doct...
What's a real good arm for a Decca Cartridge?
Sorry for not remembering the model number of the Sony Biotracer TT! I do have one on hand in the other room! Pretty neat arm!
What's a real good arm for a Decca Cartridge?
The Biotracer arm on the Sony DD TT. Servo-compensation for better groove tracing and elimination of arm resonance matching for different compliance cartridges. The Decca cartridge would certainly benefit from this, as it has much different stylus...
What’s your vote for the most ridiculous, overpriced, and useless tweak?
I consider after market PC's tweaks. So here goes: that $18K Elrod PC I saw listed here! Takes big b*lls to try to sell a piece of wire for that much moolah!
What’s your vote for the most ridiculous, overpriced, and useless tweak?
+1 devilboy! I see you beat me to it! I will stick with my vintage AT weight - purchased 40 years ago! And showing nary a sign of its age!
What’s your vote for the most ridiculous, overpriced, and useless tweak?
How about the Shun Mook disk stabilizer (record weight) made out of some exotic African hardwood. And costing around $2K!
What is the best solid state amplifier you have ever heard?
One more SS amp from the old days: the Quatre Gain Cell DG250! A contender for "best sound" in its class (125wpc) and capable of driving the difficult Dahlquist DQ-10's with ease! I have this combination in my collection.
What is the best solid state amplifier you have ever heard?
Lest we forget, Audionics made some excellent amps and preamps back in the mid - to late 70's! I still have my third CC-2 (rescued from a deceased friend's collection). This amp made TAC's list as Reference B! And the BT-2 preamp (designed by Barr...
What is the best solid state amplifier you have ever heard?
+1 vinylfan62! John Bedini certainly designed and built some fine sounding amps! I too still have my 25/25 (purchased new!) and a second-hand 150/150. These amps thrive on driving electrostats!
What's playing in your head today?
"Watermelon Man" from Herbie Hancock's Driftin'!
