List Of Small Company Tube Amps Quicksilver
Used tube preamp $2-3K Hi, I own both versions of Quicksilver line preamps (non-remote and remote) and I thing you have to spend 3/4 times of what they cost to get a better sound from a preamp. No phono stage. The non-remote sound marginally better.
Good Suggestions for Tube Amps under 6k Hi, There are several very good options, but try to find a used preamp/power mono amps by Quicksilver, I cannot think of a better value. Good luck

The Audible Illusions M3B preamp sounds amazing! Hi Hiend2, How do you like the L3B? I am currently using both remote and not remote Quicksiver Preamps, great values, I am playing with the idea to try an L3B. Thank you,
Which would you choose for good sounding tube preamp for an audiophile new to tubes. You cannot go wrong with the Quicksilver's, I have both the one with remote and the one without remote, both last versions. They both sound very good, I think the non remote has better imaging, but for a small margin. I mostly use the one with rem...

Are Quicksilver power tube amps in the same league as VAC, VTL, BAT, ARC, ...? Yes they are great. I have three sets of QS amps: Silver 60 (which Mike thinks are one of his best), mono 60, and mini. I use the minis 90% of the time, they are amazing. I also own 2 QsS preamps, the remote and not remote. I have the last version...
Which amplifier should i buy Quicksilver V4's amps with Audible Illusions L3B or M3B preamp. Even any of the Quicksilver preamps sound great for 1.5K
Constant noisy tubes maybe go solid state? Don't go solid state, the quicksilver preamps are great and amazing value. I have both versions (remote, non remote), super quiet with any tube (maybe I am lucky with the tubes). I now am using NOS RCA's. QS stock tubes are pretty decent. Mike is ...
High end stereo preamps? Worth it? I agree with hide45, the Quicksilver linestage is a terrific value. I have both versions of the Quicksilver preamps, the remote and the non remote. They are both great, the non remote is probably a little better in imaging, although there is very ...
Desire to try tubes Try a pair of Quicksilver Mono blocks and a Quicksilver preamp, they are great and super good values.
Highest BUILD quality tube amps? I have 3 pair of Quicksilver mono amps and they are super reliable, never had a problem plus they are very musical. Since I have them I forgot about all of my audiophile manias and now I simply enjoy music...
Have you ever hated the sound of your system one day, and loved it the next? I completely agree with onhwy61, there are may factors that influence our ability to hear, especially after 45/50, just an extra glass of wine may make a noticeable difference... |
