Audioquest Dragon Powercord vs Hurricane
I second what Ozzy says - I cannot imagine the Hurricane cords EVER being better than the Dragon HC or Source cables. The Hurricane is decent at its price but that's the extent of it.It becomes a bigger question in whether Dragon HC or Source are ...
Luxman Integrated Amplifiers
It's all on their website. Not sure where else one would look.http://https//luxmanamerica.com/contact/
Lumin Ap on Lumin players - not so good?
There are 3 or 4 major things I don't like about the Lumin app but I accept it because I like the sound of the devices and it's not like the app doesn't work - I think it works fine but the ergonomics are bad.The dumbest part about the app to me i...
Another Node2i Question
Mine works well with wifi although I did have some hiccups with my wifi mesh setup allocating enough signal to it at first. That resolved itself through firmware updates to my router I suspect. Now it works well both wired and wifi.Keep an eye out f...
hooking up pioneer sg 9500 to my tx 9500 and sa 9500
There are a number of ways to hook up the SG 9500.Most likely scenario would be to connect with a tape loop or the pre-amp output of the SA 9500.Best bet would be to download the manual at this link.http://https//www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/...
The Intellectual People Podcast - Galen Gareis (Former Belden Wire Designer)
@jaytor  -  I use them between a Levinson 52 pre and Bricasti M28 amps, so it's a fully balanced system. These replaced Wireworld Platinum Eclipse 7 XLR's. I used to use WW Platinum 7 throughout my system when I needed to warm it up when I had spea...
The Intellectual People Podcast - Galen Gareis (Former Belden Wire Designer)
@jaytor I have a 26 foot pair of those and I think they have the same sound quality as the 1 and 1.5 meter lengths I own and love.
BS Node 2i: WiFi or Ethernet..?
billzameYou're correct - the Hosa cable has the same size blades. The Node operates either way it's plugged in but I just made sure not to twist the cable when I plugged it in assuming it might make a difference. On Amazon, it's this one:https://www...
BS Node 2i: WiFi or Ethernet..?
I’ve used my Bluesound Node 2i with both wifi and connected via ethernet and I’m hard pressed to notice much of any difference in quality. My internet setup is the last generation Netscape Orbi and I compared by running ethernet from one of the sat...
I was told to put Kitty Litter in my new speaker stands. Was he joking?
Look up Poly-Pellets weighted stuffing beads. They're widely available in craft stores and in various sizes. These are the cleanest item I found for filling speaker stands. They are good for adding mass, don't attract pests, have no issues with humi...
Oppo 105 vs. 205 in playing SACDs
The only advantage to the 105 is the ability to rip SACD and to decode hdcd. But quite frankly, on hdcd, I’d bet the 205 sounds better even without decoding. Plus ripping and decoding hdcd is easy these days, both on Mac and Windows machines. In my ...
Oppo 105 vs. 205 in playing SACDs
I think the superiority is likely for both types of discs.I heard an improved  presentation with CD and I tend to think the updated SABRE chip in the 205 is a factor. Filter choice is important, though. Of the filter choices in the 205, there are ...
Help with Blusound Node 2i and Qobuz output
Did you check the volume settings in the bluesound app?Go to settings > audio > output level Make sure "fixed" is checked
Optical Cable recommendations
It's not your question, but I think the coaxial digital output sounds better on the Node 2i.The basic blue jeans 1694a digital cable sounds better to me than the sonic wave and Lifatec optical cables I own.
Aiff or Flac
When I ripped all my discs, I ripped some files to both FLAC and AIFF to compare. Granted, I compared with headphones on my Apple laptop computer, but there was additional background noise on all the FLAC files.I determined that whatever additiona...
