ARCAM: is it me or is it a bit compressed?
The 1.3SE's, and all of the Dynaudio line is not Biampable. Ugh
Bookshelf speakers $2500 or less
I have said it so many times before.... but man o man... after my great search... the Dynaudio 1.3SE.... WOW! Thats all I have to say.
Lexicon NT 512 / Bryston 9B THX
From what I understand this is true. They appeared before the ST series came out and Bryston built the amps for Lexicon, though I think they are MBR series though.
Very small bookshelf speakers / system
One word... GalloGet a pair of his micros and a reciever... you will be all set
Arcam vs. NAD vs. Rotel AV Units
Third thread today I have to say....... ARCAM!!!!! Its amazing how good it sounds. I mean... AMAZING!
Best processor that is excellent for 2 Ch music
I also have to say Arcam. I did a ton of research when I wanted to buy seperates. I thought I was sold on a pair of Anthem seperates (6K for the pair)... then I heard the AVR300. What was shocking was the analogue bypass. As soon as I engaged it, ...
A bit confused, Dynaudio 1.3SE power, music and HT
Ya, only the 300 and 350 do. I was thinking of trading it in for the 300. Then I could get a better amp for the front. Any opinions on where to go for there if I get the 300? Thanks!
Yet another subwoofer request Velodyne SPL-800
I agree... I heard several Velo subs and just was not floored by them. HSU... well, best bang for the buck out there hands down. The man is brilliant.
Best nearfield monitor?
I have been monitor shopping for a long time, trying literally 20 different monitors ranging from $500; Von Schweikert Audio VR-1 and NHT Classic 3's, up to the Dynaudio Contour S1.4's and Splendor monitors 2K+. I also was looking for a bottom end...
Opinions on newest NHT Absolute Zero
I know.... I was actually looking at the Classic 3's... ugh. They really are great for the money. If I had to pick a monitor for $500.... it would be these. BUT, if you want to spend some more and watch a speaker disapear infront of you... ahhh ye...
Opinions on newest NHT Absolute Zero
I actually bought the Classic 4's and ended up going back to my Dynaudio 1.3SE's. Not saying they were bad, I just think it was a different flavor. They were a bit cold in my opinion, and did not dissapear like the 1.3SE's. Then again, you are pay...
B&W 803D or Dynaudio C2's
The M series are more of a pro audio monitor. I actually use quite a bit of their pro line in my studio. (Air 20's, BM15A's) I love them, but they are not in the audiophile communities eyes a "listening" speaker. I work on them because they are ac...
Quad 21L vs NHT classic three vs KEF iQ5
I just bought the Classic 4's which are like the classic 3's but have a 10" woofer... and ya know what? VERY impressive speaker. I actually just took out the jumpers just to hear the top 3 range portion. Up against the Dynaudio 52's... I actually ...
B&W 803D or Dynaudio C2's
C2's... just amazing. I heard the 803D's..... they were very good, but the Dyns are just a whole other flavor.. which I think is a step above in all categories.
Review for Dynaudio BM5A powered pro speakers
For some reason I can really feel out vocals, kick depth and reverb depth on the NS10's, but always use tissue paper over the tweeter so my ears bleed less. Hahahaa. Its more of a double checking speaker more than anything.
