Power Cable Question...
I have used many different PCs and AC terminations. I can honestly say I've never had to "force" an IEC connector into any equipment I've owned. Yes, some have been slightly tighter and some looser but "force" was never necessary.Something doesn't...
To big to fail? What road are we headed down?
I never understood the tape on the jewel case. It's only on the top and the jewel case can be opened without removing it.If it's an anti-theft measure it doesn't work.
is Lessloss signature that much better than orig?
Recent review at dagogo.
Black Gate caps
Does anyone know why Rubycon stopped manufacturing the Black Gates?
lessloss blackbody
Ouch, let's not go there. I started a thread on this a while back. It got nasty. The 'gon shut it down.
HDCD VS SACD
If you already own a HDCD enabled CDP or DAC it's worth seeking out HDCD discs. IMO they bring a little something to the party and usually cost little or nothing more than non HDCD versions of the same CD.
Need Some Advice regarding interconnects
Gabriel Revelation MKIIr might be worth a try as well. I've seen them here used.

HDCD VS SACD
Kijanki,According to my understanding, playing a HDCD disc through a non HDCD CDP/DAC would add a small amount of noise. Whether this noise is discernible I do not know.
HDCD VS SACD
Stanwal,If your DAC or CDP doesn't have HDCD built in, it cannot decode the HDCD portion of the disc. It would play as a standard redbook CD.There's a very good explanation of HDCD technology on Wikipedia if you're interested.
Wilson Audio's New Sound?
Stringreen,You have a right to your opinion of the Wilson sound. I have never liked them much either. But I do agree with Glrtrgi about the potential for insult in your last statement.
To terminate.. or not
I'm sure they work great for most and they are a nice design. I was hooking up 4 spades into each one which I found to be a hassle, much easier with standard type binding posts.
What’s next up on the docket for you?
Blindjim,Concerning your response to my monitor post. When I think about a good monitor and decent stands I start thinking a small floor stander might be the way to go. Certainly not much difference from a space perspective and better chance for g...
To terminate.. or not
Kijanki,I had those Cardas on my amp. They drove me crazy. I had them removed.
