Final-Audio New Series electrostatics
Just a to clarify a point.  Magnepan does not and never has manufactured an electrostatic speaker.  Magnepan is a magneto-static design more like a traditional cone or dome driver.  Eminent Technology is magneto-static.   Both sound. fundamentally...

Yes mark200mph, love my pair of ESS Large Heil drivers.  Extremely detailed and airy.  I perceive that they are very low in harmonic distortion.  Much like the Purifi drivers that sound thin at first until your brain realizes that it is just how c...

More on the MBL.  Unobtanium is correct.  The only way to have the Radialstrahler cover most of the audio is their top model.  All their other models introduce traditional cone drivers up into the lower midrange.  It does work but makes them less ...

Loved the Theos.  Well balanced hybrid.     Lusted for MBL for quite awhile.  Chose German Physiks HRS130.  Slightly more coherent to my ears.  More of one voice.  I am a sucker for a single extended range driver.  Like the LFT8 main driver.

Welcome to all taking the time to post to this thread.  Ravi is fundamental to Final-Audio's success in the US.  The M series electrostatics will bring fond memories to Acoustat owners.  Similar voicing to my ears.

For the record, I do not have a favorite.  Apologies Ravi.  My joy is from the journey.  Some of us are blessed with the ability to sample.  Thank you ecommerce and previously owned.   All the designs mentioned should satisfy long term.  Each desi...

Very pleased to hear from fellow Final owners.  I have been enjoying my M35 since January.  Yes, the diaphragm material does require a long break in period.  Left mine on playing music at normal volume for weeks.  350 hours before serious listenin...

Since I'm name dropping, forgot my years with Martin Logan Theos.  Never had the pleasure of ML full electrostatics.  I thoroughly enjoyed the Quad 2812 I've heard a t shows.  And yes, I've been at this for a few years.

Popori Audio, Sanders Sound, King Sound, ER Audio, Audiostatic and Acoustat.  Sound Lab through auditions only.  Dipole panels rule in my world.
Eminent Technology LFT 7 !!
The LFT 6 was released in 1988.  The LFT7 was only available in 1989.  Late 1989, early 1990 the LFT8 was released.   I'm sure because of manufacturing cost, the LFT6 and LFT7 were discontinued.   Also, Bruce felt the LFT8 main driver with a dedic...
Eminent Technology LFT 7 !!
Frame rail has been reshaped and reinstalled.  Not perfect but acceptable. Will finally hear these later this evening.
Eminent Technology LFT 7 !!
Not sure how to post photos to body of forum.  I changed my post photo from the LFT3 to my LFT7.  Oak trim left side is the LFT6W bass panel.  Right side in black trim is the LFT6 full range.   I plan to experiment with using the LFT6W bass panel...
Eminent Technology LFT 7 !!
My LFT6W bass panels have arrived.  Unfortunately one did not fair well in transit. The wide frame rail on one speaker is bent and curved inward. Good news is the three bass panel drivers are unharmed.  I have separated the rail from the drivers ...
Eminent Technology LFT 7 !!
Tried them all.  Totally agree with bdp24 and daytrader.  The C version was certainly a lateral move.  Too many variables and never any clearly written directions.  Maybe that is just me.  A and B better sounding.   I have modified one of my LFT3...
Eminent Technology LFT 7 !!
There may be a development on the LFT7 quest.  Keep you posted.
