Stereophile review of the new Wilson Watt/Puppy
When I heard them they were without a sub and I didn’t feel them “needing” one, as neither do the 801s that they will replace. That said I do use one- a VMPS Larger for very low bass energy that is only there on select tracks - and will do likewis...
Stereophile review of the new Wilson Watt/Puppy
This was/is pretty much my experience and take on the WWPs vs the other speakers I heard and the Sasha V. The new Puppies may cannibalize the Wilson lineup .
Stereophile review of the new Wilson Watt/Puppy
I listened to the V’s and WWP back to back- both sounded great. I would be happy with either but on that day the WWP’s sounded “better” (different rooms- but both nothing special btw- glass, open sided with no treatment ).  YMMV
Stereophile review of the new Wilson Watt/Puppy
I stopped reading Stereophile several years ago for no particular reason, so haven’t seen the review, but I just ordered a pair of WWP after auditioning several other of the usual suspects (Focal, B&W, Sonus Faber etc.). I listen to a wide va...

McIntosh MX 200 Review (short)
I’ll be interested in your take and whether I’m just imagining it!
New Speakers under consideration - but I’m afraid
While awaiting the WWPs next month, I just got a McIntosh MX 200 pre with only one set of balanced outs so had to un-biwire the 801s. They never sounded better. Not sure which made the difference but the soundstage is very 3 dimensional now. Audi...
New Speakers under consideration - but I’m afraid
If you read my circumstances , that was not possible but clearly the preferred route. That said I am no longer afraid- I'm excited. I have confidence that the WWPs exceed my 801s by every important metric.

I only drink vodka.
New Speakers under consideration - but I’m afraid
I heard it at the dealer with McIntosh and the sound was liquid and holographic.
New Speakers under consideration - but I’m afraid
Yes dealer has already offered to fly down to Nassau and set them up - my expense of course. No point in not having them set up properly. Can then play with amps- Mac, Krell and Crown. Then there’s the cable decision 🙄
New Speakers under consideration - but I’m afraid
Just bought new Puppies today. Get them in Feb.
New Speakers under consideration - but I’m afraid
They were the North Creek. So long ago now I can’t recall how they sounded before. So right now I’m wondering if used Sasha DAWs are sonically close enough to the new WWPs. Pretty big price delta.
New Speakers under consideration - but I’m afraid
I meant to say WWP- not Sasha Vs.
New Speakers under consideration - but I’m afraid
More speakers today. B&W 803 and 801s with Mac gear (no 802’s unfortunately). Clear and crisp with the 803’s predictably lacking in bass energy and sounded “small” probably because they were flanked by other speakers and were too close togeth...
