Amp Internal Wire
Well, I'm thinking Mercedes.. What do you guys think of this ? Thinking, if I am going through the trouble to do this, why not take it to the next level? https://www.mundorf.com/audio/en/shop/Cables/MConnect_SGW/ Knowing Mundorf is amazing and s...
Denafrips Athena- is damn good
Ah man, I'm a preamp dink too. It's a shame these nice models don't have more fixed level outs. The build quality of the Denifrips looks fantastic and love that Relay Based Stepped Attenuator - maybe they got it right, unlike my Cambridge 840e.
Best power cord for a preamp?
Having recently been called out over another thread on interconnects and their effect on sound, I shared the amount of experimenting I've been doing, it's to the point of tuning my gear with cables, I've found power to have a the least effect. One...
Repair your Cambridge Audio 840E volume contol issues
One last quick point, I was also surprised by the heat on the volume ladder relays themselves when first opening the heatbox after hours of use - to the touch. The transistor heat sink one couldn't touch it was so hot - again, incredible this was ...

Changes to older system
I’d throw these in, they’ll make the difference. I’d also find some thick OCC speaker cable, that will make a change for the better as well. I’m a NAD fan too, always a great sound. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32878903519.html
Repair your Cambridge Audio 840E volume contol issues
I own one of these, and all volume issues were solved by the spacer modification mentioned to the lid allowing heat to escape. I have the Omron 'patch' and I would experience volume fine at one db level, next one up ~+10db in right channel, next ...
