Finding the Part Number for Vintage Equipment
This seems like the best compromise, thanks
Finding the Part Number for Vintage Equipment
I contacted that reverb seller, and they said "These parts based on Teac part numbers not measurements", but they did not provide me with the part number or the associated description with the part number. Hence, my question here. I'll try Simply...
Drag on driver causing noise
Coincidentally, the seller suggested this. I have had the speakers flipped upside down since I purchased them. The point of friction is not at 6:00, it's more like 4:00.
Drag on driver causing noise
Found a matching pair out of the UK for $100. Bummer, but if two people from the internet say it's fatal, then I guess it has to be true (thank you for your input).
DIY Cheap crossover parts effect on frequency response
Thank you for your input. I guess I am having a difficult time communicating the problem in a way that is able to be solved.
DIY Cheap crossover parts effect on frequency response
My technical question that I should have asked before is if the circuit is not effective, how can I have the components in-line and still have the speakers produce sound? Wouldn't something short?

Is VituxCAD really that different from XSim? I found the interface of the former a lot more accessible than the latter. I would have liked to have posted pictures, but having to link to another site is a hassle. Would a verbal description of the ...
Warm Take on Professional Audio Equipment Reviews
There has to be a tier above me in terms of price, what would you call that? The Pass Labs/upper Krell/upper McIntosh/upper Classe(s) [pun intended] of the world. Ultra hifi?
Why aren't all modern vinyl releases 45s?
I was incorrectly ascribing who is making these decisions. The artist would probably have to fight for anything beyond what the label offers. I have the same album on CD and vinyl, and there's hardly any difference in the layout and artistic detai...
Pre-pros with good 2-channel and bass control
Ended up calling the number associated with highperformacestereo.com , I assume it is the gentleman who runs the store who answered the phone; he gave great advice, and I am happy with my decision after the fact. I figure no way better to thank hi...
Why aren't all modern vinyl releases 45s?
Thanks, the poor-sounding 33s seems to be the question at hand. I have my handful of 33s with great sound stages released across many decades (1st pressing of But Not for Me comes to mind), even if that's not my system's strong suit. Mastering is ...
Pre-pros with good 2-channel and bass control
My subwoofer is passive, so it has no onboard controls. I can't use the tape in/out trick, if that is what you're referring to. As far as I understand it, I need a sub pre-out to control the bass levels.
Getting computer to recognize A/D Source
You figured it out erik. I found the setting in Windows that changed the bit and sampling rate to match my A/D and it worked right away. Thank you very much.
Getting computer to recognize A/D Source
My A/D and D/A both do not have a USB connection, only AES and other digital sources. I will look into the other settings. Thanks
Computer to DAC with no USB
That solution works for me. Thanks.
