Borreson X2
Thank you for the input. I have had a chance to demo both the X2 and X3. Although, for a rather short period of time. I was impressed with the speed and dynamics for such small drivers.  Looking to see if any Audiogon members have had any real sea...
Chord Cutest or Wadia 321
I am pretty blown away by this DAC and it’s an older DAC. I know it’s good because I listen to a whole song/album vs playing a track for 10-15 seconds and then on to the next track. It’s very musical. Do any Wadia 321 owners find a preference on d...
Chord Cutest or Wadia 321
I did purchase the Wadia. After listening to the Wadia over a few days, I prefer the Wadia in my system. The Chord DAC is great but it seemed to place certain elements like vocals or main instruments to far forward leaving the rest of the music to...
Chord Cutest or Wadia 321
Thank you for the advice. Do you feel the DAC will sound poorly, or is it more of a concern of getting the DAC repaired if it has an issue?
iFi Zen Stream (No USB output in Roon exclusive mode)
Unfortunate to hear that Ifi does not provide better customer support. Have you tried using the exclusive mode with your Zen Stream DAC combo? My Zen Stream app is set to USB out/Chord DAC. Then moment I switch from AIO to Roon exclusive mode, it ...
Martin Logan CLS II New Panels (Worth it)?
UPDATE I just  picked up the CLS’s this morning. All I have to say is that I am blown away by these speakers. I can’t believe they were made in the 80s. The seller told me these speakers would buzz or rattle and moderate to loud volumes, and in m...
Martin Logan CLS II New Panels (Worth it)?
Thank you for the advice. It seems that the CLS will be a worth a try. In the past I owned the  Martin Logan Acent I. I loved the mids and highs, but didn’t not care for the built in woofer. So, I’m hoping that if I pair the CLS with some JL Audio...
Speaker/Room Acoustic Problem
That’s a good idea. Worth a try!
Are the Aesthetix Rhea as popular as years back ?
I have had mine for two years and absolutely love it. I listened to the ARC PH7 and the BAT VK-P10 and preferred the Aesthetix Rhea to all other phono stages that I tried in my system. The ARC and the BAT were great, but for the sound, price, and ...
VPI Classic
The the rear of the tonearm was wobbling like a bell. The damping fluid seems to have help with that. It will wobble for about 10-20 seconds and then it settles down with very little movement. I am using a salamander rack at the moment, but I thin...
VPI Classic
Well, I got a hold of VPI this morning. VPI thinks that I might need a little damping fluid and a different periphery ring. The Benz Gullwing is being effected by the stainless steel ring. Yes, I know stainless steel is supposed to be non-magnetic...
VPI Classic
Thank you for all the advice. The table seems to be running smoothly, and I can not detect any vibration. The table is dead level, and this is the second cartridge I have tried. I was using a Benz glider for about 4 days, and it wobbled just like ...
VPI Classic - Now you have one......
I picked mine up about a week ago, and I can see the leg screws at all four coners. The table sits perfectly level. I do have the motor pop issue, but its not a big deal. The SDS will eliminate that problem.
disappointing VPI 16.5 performance??
You might run a search regarding steam cleaning your records. I own a VPI 16.5 and use both steam and disc doctor cleaning fluid. The combination of steam and fluid has worked miracles on many of my used and new records. I have purchased a few rec...
Loss of Highs
The new tubes that replaced the old did not sound much different than the stock tubes. I only noticed much more tube noise with one of the new tubes, and the fluttering noise ceased. Thats why I put the old tubes back. I noticed the diminished hig...
