The Elacs have also shown me I’d give up a tad of resolution for a flatter eq curve.  McCoy Tyners Fly Like the Wind,  Grants First Stand, GERRY Beckleys Five Mile Road, r all well rendered.  Something about the amp, the box, the room... no distra...

They sound marvelous with 40wpc tubes or 90wpc ss.  There’s no midbase hump, but if your pre has tone controls, they work as u wold want.  If u have balanced components, they nicely show its benefits.  They show cable differences really quite dram...

Ok let me give this a bump.  Something unique, I believe, about the small Reference floorstanders, is that each box has three port, two circular, in back, and the floor slot n front.  After listening to these, and finding them helpful in fine tuni...

The speakers present in such a well balanced, even handed way, they match really well with the newer Yamaha amps that have the same, natural, neutral, open tone with no overemphasis in any frequency band. When u turn up the volume u just get more ...

That seems a fun channel with a sound perspective.  I’ve spent my time with the small floorstanders & they have such a nice flat frequency response, react well to a bit of power and play all types a music well.  These guys and a couple of subs...
adante
The Adantes seem like thoroughbreds, high performance, yet more demanding than most in this racehorse hobby r able to muster.  Some crackpots probably attempting to run em with his beloved silver loom, and blaming the speaker for the blocky base r...

I picked up the new bookshelf for a Xmas pairing with a PS Audio Sprout in my kids bedroom.  Very nice looking & sounding....Grabbed the small floorstanders for myself in a large room.  Break in about 3 days and they match real well w/a 6L6 40...
What does the term "Speed" mean in a speaker?
Speed as a function...Small floorstander, Castle Conway III, intel Nuc, Benchmark Dac pre, Mystere PA, you want ‘speed’, transient attack, dynamics with decay, openness?  Try Captains Audio Envy cables.  I’ve a pr. of the Studio Prestige rca, a us...
MC/SUT into Line Level
VPI Traveler, Dynavector 20x2L, Bobs Sky 20, E.A.T Glo Petite r very nicely balanced n my rig.  The Rega would more than likely sub in just fine.  Something like a Project Phono Box MM can fit the bill if budget is limited.  Take a look at the Aud...
EAT E-Glo Petite Hybrid phono stage
Added a pr. of Audio Envy phono cables from RMAF to a Bob’s Sky SUT.  Very, very good!  Smooth, open, detailed.  The ‘Captain’ makes very nice cables, nicely engineered, great values.  Together, Bob’s device adds refinement, space, a certain relax...
Cassette Decks in 2019
Try a Nak LX300.  I know of several that can be had for around $350.  I picked one up last spring, & even though ‘only’ a 2head deck, with the right tapes, sounds great-wonderful.  Even with many commercial tapes, the Nak has a smooth analogue...

Congrats, don’t think you’ll b disappointed.  Really enjoy a pr. ofBugle Boys n the Petite, Mullards were a bit too rich, a bit sluggish, but the Amprex takes the whole thing up a notch, very transparent, dynamic.None of the harshness, or glare, I...

No comparisons, but I love my E.A.T E-Glo Petite.  I run a VPI Traveler w/Dynavector 20x2XL. The Petite is pretty phenomenal imo.  It’s a musical ‘ear opener’ on many records.  Herbie Hancocks recent RSD release Dedication had me looking around as...
Audiocap Theta Audyn True Copper Mundorf Supreme
Thanx or sharing, and well done. I've wondered about the Audyn coppers, and know some folks who like the Thetas. I've played with the other copper foils and think they've been a great addition to my system. They all seem to present music as though...

Buy a Primaluna & be done with it. Euro design, premium Chinese build.I never quite understood my buddies infatuation w/AR gear that would workfor a while then..... Big silver handles, big deal. Though I do like the early preamps, sharp edges ...
