How to reduce power supply noise.
What power supply modification? What is done? I think more attention should be on interference and "crosstalk" within the system-certainly the Spectral interview suggested as much. If that "magic"cloth? that was supposed to block RFI & EMI ?? ...
How to reduce power supply noise.
I'm thinking of improvements inside the CD-DVD players.
who needs a cd player anymore
On the units sold aspect, I believe McDonalds sells "billions" of burgers. Great burgers?? Good burgers? or...
Cheap tweaks...What would YOU reccomend?
Cheater plugs for your preamp and digital can eliminate a lot of noise on the ground line and are only a couple of bucks.
Power cable for Mark Levinson No.383
The MIT Oracle AClll is worth a try. Wii probably surprise - if not astound you. Used prices are an absolute steal..

Hey Cruz, they probably just play any old tunes like the old carousel Cd player on scramble or whatever and you just never know what will come up next. Definitely widens your exposure.Just doesn't help me with Classical-somehow I'm just not into s...
UltraBit Platinum, does it work?
It works beautifully. I have posted on this before. Great for any silver disc(or gold for that matter).I feel it is now a must (luxury) for serious listening enjoyment. Use 1-2 drops, spread with middle finger. Wipe off. Voila!

Sibilance in recordings: your experience the same?
Sibilance is "always" much more obvious when the system is not well set up overall, including AC conditioning, however-even in a perfectly set up system if the disc played is not in correct phase sibilance will be an issue. This is the reason I wo...
The best "imaging" speakers?
Ggavetti, my source was the same turntable for comparison. However you are right about the pre & amp-they were superior to my dated 33/303 system. I've never done a comparison since then and I must say I got tremendous enjoyment from my Quad se...
The best "imaging" speakers?
Shadorne, you were lucky to go into Ronnies little club and I'm not surprised the system was good-It's a first rate joint, ain't it. Locations not bad either. Imagine sure the show was 1st rate as well.
Sibilance in recordings: your experience the same?
Ensure you have isolation & conditioning for your CD player.Dedicated lines do nothing for those items.
