exactpower ep 15A
Nsgarch: I have been following along on these threads for awhile now and am getting a great education (thank you very much), and it is clearly focusing me onto a balanced power solution - at least for the front end. But, I do have a couple of ques...
Sonic Frontiers SFP-1 Upgrades
Emailed Chris and he confirmed that the SFP-1 upgrade is a straight parts swap, not a change to design. So, that makes sense that the SFP-1 upgrade sounds more or less similar to the newer Phono 1. Thanks for the help.Steve
Sonic Frontiers SFP-1 Upgrades
Thanks for the response - it sounds to me like it is not worth the $ to upgrade to a Phono 1, unless Chris tells me that todays's upgrade takes it beyond the Phono 1. Any idea how many years ago your friend upgraded the SFP-1. Every compare with t...
Sonic Frontiers SFP-1 Upgrades

Hifi Tuning Fuses
Over the weekend, I replace the two internal fuses within a friend's CJ LS17 preamp with the hifi tuning fuses and the improvement was huge and beneficial - adding both depth, soundstage, and air to the music. At least as much of an improvement as...

REL stadium II vs. stadium III
For what it is worth, I am also looking at the Rel Stadium III to help out my Revel Gems. I posed the II vs III question directly to Rel and they said: "The Stadium III has more power, an upgraded driver to handle the extra power, redesigned elect...
Opinions on Graaf Amps
Just read your graaf post and I posted just before you about a year ago. My post also cited problems - take a look. My graaf also required replacement of the large capacitors (one or two as I recall), a power tube socket, a resistor, and one other...
Opinions on Graaf Amps
I have had my Graaf GM20 for about 3 years now. It was an upgrade (very substantial) from a Sonic Frontiers SFS80. I find the Graaf sound to be immediate, engaging, muiscal, fast, fluid - very typical of OTL and somewhat similar to midrange Atmas ...
