| Pass 250.5 shuts down driving Magnepan 3.7 Pass Amps are great and I've heard that the xa100.5s will drive the Maggies no problem so the 250.5s shouldn't break a sweat. I use a VAC 150 wpc tube amp and they play loud without breaking down on the 3.7s. | |

| Magnepan 3.7 I listened to my brother's 20.1s and then the 1.7 and 3.7s at local Maggie dealer here in Portland. So different electronics, but still fairly easy to discern things like coherence (3.7s win) and dynamics/bass (20.1s win). | |

| Stand out phono stages Herron VTPH-2 is quiet. Actually more quiet than some solid state phono preamps i have listened to. My VAC preamp with phono inputs is equally quiet. No hiss or tube rush. | |
