JR Concentra II - GAIN + LOAD settings phono modul
I would think you would be able to tell because of the sound being off if you flip the switches the wrong way. You also should try to contact JRDG directly via phone or email, they are very helpful. I don't have this piece so I'm afraid I'm no goo...
Best compilation CD you have made.
Thank god I'm not the only one that hates Patricia Barber and Eva Cassidy.
Questions about Toslink's
I heard some unsubstantiated mumbo-jumbo once about Toslinks shorter than 0.5 meter being no good. This was audio shop water cooler banter basically. From whom I heard this, and for what reason this is allegedly the case totally escapes me.
I'll have a Britney with that Taco.
I could care less about movies in my soda lids, but I would very much like to sign up for a Britney taco.
Natalie Merchant Fans
Ditto Tireguy's comments on Motherland. This had darn well better not suck, too or I'll have to give her a piece of my mind.
Feedback/Ideas for New Magazine?
Unsound stole my thunder. I'd like reviewers to review gear as a typical customer would recieve it and refrain from using "souped up" gear- AND- to guarantee this...I'd like all reviewed items to actually be purchased in the manner that a typical ...
Anyone tried the SOS Subwoofer Optimizer System
Hmmmmm. It's hereand it is basically an EQ to help flatten out bass response- little black box that goes in between preamp and sub input. It samples your room's sound with a detachable microphone and then determines an optimal EQ curve. Might have...

Slappy- it might be more of a concern in Car audio based on the "mobile environment", but I can see home audio geeks, er I mean cool guys like us, really getting into it. Hell, you could have an amp that was warmed up to operating temp by warm wat...

Eldartford-- A high-end amplifier company has gone the liquid cooled route. Unfortunately, it's CAR audio high end-- Precision Power used to make amps designed to be liquid cooled if you wanted, or convection cooled if not. Many a show car of that...
Monster Cable does Power Amps,,,,,,,,,UH OH
Leasingguy-- If Jonathan Skull said it, they must be wonderful amps. Reviewers are beyond reproach, and since Monster's ad budget is tiny, I'm sure that was no influence at all...Time will tell and the world is full of good amps already.

Locate a squirrel cage or better yet axial (like a jet engine) in the crawlspace or a nearby closet. Put a small furnace type fiberglass filter over its intake so you are blowing fresh, clean air (clean filter regularly). Run the fan's output to y...

SLAPPY! PUT THE BONG DOWN.Example of Monster sucking: Their Toslink cable-- Interlink 200 or some such, it's a regular old $7.00 Panasonic-sourced el-cheapo Toslink with a big fat rubber jacket on it, and snap on oversized plastic ends. Selling pr...

I don't think Wilson is using Monster Cable anymore (if they ever in fact did). Heard Wilson is now making their own internal wiring. Besides, Fabio has Martin Logans, and that's got as much to do with the quality of Martin-Logans as Wilson allege...

Ha ha. I just looked, they mention nothing about internals, no picture either. They do say this:o Monster Mirrored Amplifier TechnologyTM ensures low distortion, greater clarity even at the highest power levels. o Laboratory-grade digital power me...

I wonder what they're wired with internally.
