Recommendations for a jazz record which demonstrates vinyl superiority over digital
I started a thread called "Truly Stunning Vinyl" (of any genre) a month or two ago and one of the early recommendations by two forum members was the Chet Baker album, Chet. They were right, it sounds truly stunning on my system. I would probably a...

This community never ceases to amaze me (and often entertain me 👀🍿). Sincere thanks again for all of these wonderful recommendations, and please keep them coming. I have not yet been disappointed by any of these suggestions. 🙏

@ronrags for some reason I can't reply to your DM so I'm responding here instead. I love my Cronus Dark. It was not an upgrade from a non-dark version. I opted for the Dark because I didn't want to be constrained in speaker choices, and it hasn't ...
Truly Stunning Vinyl Album
@terry9 Beethoven's Emperor recording live from Berlin in fall 1944 just arrived, and I heard the anti-aircraft guns momentarily in the background towards the end of side 1. Amazing bit of history, and I feel fortunate that this album is actually ...
Truly Stunning Vinyl Album
@terry9 can't wait to hear it, hopefully it's in decent shape. Thanks again.

@terry9 thanks for the heads up, just bought it and will look for the Andre Bach album. You had me at anti-aircraft cannon! 🤯

OP chiming back in. I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone for all your amazing suggestions. This will keep me busy and in audio nirvana for a very long time, and I really can't thank you enough. I've already found a few new favorites with vin...

Thank you all so much for the incredible suggestions! Blown away! I was up late last night streaming the suggestions that came in yesterday afternoon/evening, and loved all of them! Elgar, Nils Frahm, that Chet album, Fantasia, Respighi, Rachmanin...

@yogiboy @dogberry many thanks, on it!!

@pindac thanks for the suggestions. I have a few Bowie albums I like but don't love, but none of them are Q Sound versions. I'll look for that, and I'll also research the PAVCR cleaning method. Thanks for your time.
Speakers that disappear
+1 for the Maggie 3.7i with a Rogue Cronus iii Dark and a pair of subs, but also agree they are tall and will never disappear visually unless you listen with your eyes closed. 🙈
Recommend me a tube integrated amplifier
+1 for Rogue's Cronus Magnum iii, but upgrade to the Dark edition at your price range. I have the Dark edition paired with Maggie 3.7s and a Perlisten D15s sub, and I love the combination.
4th of July Music
+1 Grateful Dead: U.S. Blues/Wave that Flag Jimi Hendrix: Star Spangled Banner (preferably during breakfast, and at louder volume than normal listening levels)
Static on turntable
+1 for the ZeroStat. I use it on every record and again when I flip sides. Works like a charm.
