@terry9 @slaw A bit more tinkering. My US tank seemed suspect / deficient in a couple of ways so I tried a couple of things to address the problems. The issues with the tank were;It took forever to warm up and and the temp gauge never read above 38c...
Looking for the best moving coil cart that is around $5K used
Years ago I happened to be be at a high end hi fi shop in the bay area one day when a person was trying to make a decision about which turntable to buy. The contenders were a Linn Sondek and a Linn Basik. Both tables had the same arm and both were...

@slaw @terry9  I also just put a pump together.  Very similar to Slaw.  I used a slightly stronger motor from the same company - A108, 5 Amp, 1.2 gpm.  But honestly, I think it's overkill.  That pump moves a lot of water, so I wouldn't obsess abou...

I agree with Terry, Whart and SlawI’ve been pretty amazed at the difference in cleaning using the US approach. All of my records would have been cleaned at one time or another with a Nitty Gritty vacuum record cleaner and until the popularity of U...

@terry9 Thanks Terry, that's not something I would have thought about.  As I said, I'm having a hard time getting my tank above 35c so I don't think it's much of an issue now, but if I get a different tank at some point in the future it could be.

Is it possible to have a quiet vinyl records
I would strongly recommend you look at getting an ultrasonic cleaner.I have used vacuum cleaners in the past and they are useful, but nothing compared to ultrasonic in my mind. Here is one post on the subject, but you can find much more information...

I had no idea this post would generate so much traffic, I was merely intending to endorse the notion of US cleaning (and btw I have no affiliation with Cleaner Vinyl or any other US or record cleaning company). As there is more interest and lots of...
Class D is just Dandy!
I'm using a PS Audio HCA 2 with the Cullen mods and I love it. I auditioned a variety of amps in my home - a high powered ARC tube amp and a Pass Class A amp at the same time I had the PS Audio.  I think I may have liked the Pass amp about as much...
Reducing Background Noise On Records
I think part of the answer to your question hinges on your definition of  "noise", but here is an additional 2 cents...I got my ultrasonic record cleaner today and it is a bit of a revelation.  The majority of my records are in good to excellent s...
Can anyone suggest a good 2-channel amp for $1500
I think the PS Audio HCA amps are pretty amazing and can be had for about half your budget.
