I must say as well...this tt is one of the better buys in budget audio...I purchased another headshell and installed a shure v 15 I had on hand...and this significantly put this table into another realm...although the stock cart is pretty darn goo...
Infinity Interlude towers...non powered....
Was is the degree of difficulty replacing the Caps?...I was thinking Solen...however...this involves some level of expertise...not my strongest asset...and i dont recall the Beta having particularly a better tweeter...in fact...i think the IL 40 i...

Update...table arrived...easy set up...the weakest link is the internal phono pre. ...which I knew going in...easily rectified by a $50 model...at95e is a solid cart...how they can sell this for 2 bills beyond me...wipes the floor with the Rega R ...
Help with a system for a guy into electronic music
Modern electronic music...be it dub, trip hop, house, etc is often immaculately produced...they often use lots of echoe, panning techniques, etc...so a speaker with speed that images well would be my vote...others will chime in about bass...but I ...
What's the sonic advantage of bi-wiring
Cable makers in general are not surprisingly behind bi-wiring...intersting to note that Wilson, a premium maker, doesnt see the benefits...which mirrors my experience...to each his own...

Sub connection question.....
FYI...this is for Stereo mode listening if that makes a difference...so is the x over in my AVR a high pass fixed filter...or a low pass?...also...my sub only has one speaker level/ high in connection?...isnt a loop required for true hi pass inter...
Bookshelf or Tower
Big speakers equate to big sound...however it can be difficult to get a balanced sound from large towers...this is where a sub can be handy....one can contour the bass to ones likening...although it seems counterintuitive to...I wasn't really a su...

Thanks for the responses...the AT now comes with a at95e cart...but I plan to go Denon 110
Turntable with stable speed.
Typically brush-less, quartz based DD such as Technics, etc...various price points....Denon, Sony, Sansui all made quality units doing this era...
Less than top line reel-to-reel worth it?
Also...for cheapskates...early 4 head hifi vcrs with output meters can provide great fidelity ...not as cool as reels...but hey...
Speakers vs. headphones
You already owned them...NHT Superones...sealed bass...great for odd rooms, tight quarters, etc...or give the superzeroes a shot...I wouldn't throw a ton of money at this situation/ solution...it is what it is roomwise
