Will Step Up Transformer Improve the Sound Quality? Great feedback on the SUT and crossover. I understand about a third of it but that is o.k. I've got some homework to do. Thanks all.
Will Step Up Transformer Improve the Sound Quality? Again, thank you. I appreciate the expertise here. rauliruegas , I agree that the JC3+ is a fine phono stage. As for the REL's they are utilized for the lows below 32hz which is the bottom end for the Spatial Audio M3 Turbo S. It provides a gr...

What makes speaker's sound big? Try open baffle. Incredible soundstage. I have the Spatial Audio M3 Turbo S speakers with REL S3 SHO subwoofers. The sound is incredible in my large room with acoustic treatments.
Disappointing On Mcintosh......help I had the same experience years ago. I walked into a McIntosh dealer and listened to a system that included McIntosh separates - can't recall which ones. I was surprised that I just wasn't impressed after all the years of hearing about the vaunt...
Why are brick and mortar HiFi dealers so bad? I guess that post struck a chord. I've never gotten so many replies from a post. I'd heard good things about Audio Connections. I will take a trip out there one of these days as Seattle and some other recommendations are a bit far from Long Isl...
Considering Rogue Audio or P.S. Audio Thanks for the advice. I have considered Pass Labs and Luxman as well. I think I may close in on the PS Audio BHK series. I've got the PS Audio Directstream DAC and was blown away by the improvement in my digital signal path. I actually didn't...
New dedicated lines have high noise floor. Jea48, the 2 circuits are parallel on the panel. Is that an issue? The panel is a relatively new (9-years) 200 amp panel. It is full with no additional slots. I've got another 150 amp panel next to it which is also full.
New dedicated lines have high noise floor. Great feedback everyone. Much appreciated. I took the hospital grade MC cable recommendation from my electrician. Jim, I think I need to read that passage several more times to get the gist of it, I have a call into my electrician and will sha...
DAC Suggestions for Aurender N100C Awesome feedback and some good food for thought. The Ayre wasn't on my radar, but I have been considering the PS Audio Directstream. I like their topology of utilizes software updates rather than needing replacement because of new chip technolog...
Considering Vandersteen 3a Signatures Awesome feedback. Thanks. I'm checking out the Primacoutic panels. They're a hell of a lot cheaper than the Synergistic Research panels I was eyeing.
Considering Vandersteen 3a Signatures Thanks, everyone. I truly appreciate the advice. I was considering both focusing on room treatments as this is something I have yet to explore and considered some tube rolling with the Cronus Magnum. As tomic601 noted, "enjoy the music"
Advice on the best DAC to match with an Aurender N100 The folks at Aurender mentioned the power cord issue. I am using a Shunyata. They said to try the stock cord and I did, but it did not improve the issue with the graininess. As for price range, I suspect about $2,500-$3,000, looking at both new...
What phono preamp would be good for a Dynavector Karat 17D3? I've got a Phonomena right now and was thinking of sticking to solid state. I was considering the Parasound JC3+ and the Lehman Audio Decade.
Issue with Graininess from my Aurender N100H Music Direct was good enough to take back the defective unit. I replaced it with a N100C, the latest N100 with a coax digital connection. I set it up yesterday and it sounded great. I may try the USB rig I'd gotten - ISO Regen and Curious cable... |
