Has anyone had a laser replaced in a Audio Research CD-3 MKII
Beware of some of the ebay replacement parts.  I've replaced the laser drive in my Cary 303/300 three times now over 15 yrs or so.  Instead of buying the part from Cary I tried an ebay seller and the part was DOA.  Tried the same laser drive out o...

Does any one have a link to Playboys stereo systems of the rich and famous?
I remember that very article of Roger and Ann's system as I used to raid my Dad's monthly mailed issues.  There were also some very good music articles - it's where I learned about Guy Clark and his classic Old No. 1 album.
Whats playing on your system today?
Robyn Hitchcock, self-titled, 2017.....just got it today it's fantastic!
Music Reference RM 10/Reference 3aMM
keep the RM10 - it's a keeper.   Check in with audiogon'er clio09 as to the synergy w/the Reference speakers he may have some experience.

Budget Tube Amp (newbie)
In the tube friendly setups I've had without a doubt.  I found the Cronus ballsy but unrefined and not quite 20/20 vision in comparison.  Perhaps for the Advents the Cronus would be the ticket - it's a tricky sport good luck out there
Budget Tube Amp (newbie)
x2 bdp24....I've owned an assortment of tube amps including the Rogue Cronus Magnum and the RM10 like bdp24 just scored here is so superior it's not fair to compare the 2 - if the amount of power suits your setup.  Don't let the low price fool you...

dougsat the Spectrum in Philly brings back some good memories I think my ears are still ringing from seeing the Who there in the mid late 70's.  Growing up with the all in one setups in the 60's turntable folded down speakers uncoupled.  Early 7...
