Thought My Harbeth M40.1's Were Forever Speakers - Guess Not @snackeyp Have the 40.2's arrived? If yes, can you share your comparison to the 40.1's?
Sound Anchors Floor Bases I used Sound Anchor cradle bases with a pair of Silverline Sonata's and they did the trick. I currently use their 14" four post stands with Harbeth M-40.1's. Bullet proof product and highly recommended.
Choosing an new used amp I've owned both amps and preferred the MC275 MK V by sizeable margin.
Thought My Harbeth M40.1's Were Forever Speakers - Guess Not @snackeyp Any regrets going from tubes to a class D amp? Every time I'm attempted to go back to SS, I regretted it and have stuck with tube amps for the last several years. I hear good things about Lyngdorf, just don't feel the need or urge to c...
Thought My Harbeth M40.1's Were Forever Speakers - Guess Not As a fellow 40.1 owner, I selfishly hope the 40.2's are underwhelming in comparison... however, based upon feedback from shows and reviews, I think you'll be very happy. I'm interested to hear your comparison of the two speakers.
You went from Harbeth P3's to Compact 7's, and... There's a nice pair of Spendor SP-100R's on US Audiomart for $3,800 (with stands) that I would jump on if I were in the market for speakers under $6K.
Looking for a small tube amp (possibly integrated tube amp)... low power, nice sound Ditto on the Music Reference RM-10. I
Why do Harbeth speakers have such a cult following I've owned SHL5's (non plus version) and am on my 2nd go-around with 40.1's. 40.1's... full bodied, refined, smooth, organic with a lot of "meat on the bones". Not an exciting speaker, but one you can melt into your seat with, relax and spend ...
Need Some Tube Amp Advice Quicksilver Mid Mono's, Music Reference RM10.
Most annoying song, period. "My Sharona" by The Knack.
How many amps do you own? I've owned multiple amps before, but found I typically just used my favorite of the amps owned at any given time. I still flirt with the idea of adding a solid state amp to the mix to get a different flavor vs. tubes. Too many home improvement...
Rip CD’s to ? Let us know how the Roon Nucleus works out for you.
Music Reference RM-200 There's also an RM9 MK2 listed by TMR with vintage Siemens EL34 tubes for $2,499 (can probably negotiate down to $2,250). I have the RM9 MK2 and have success with both RAM EL34's and GL KT88's. Great amp and a great value! I've owned many tube...
Rip CD’s to ? I have a Bluesound Vault and it's ok, but the sound quality from ripped CD's is lacking compared to CD's played on my Audio Aero CD player. I recommend you research Innuos ZEN MK3 servers ($2,600). I don't own one, but they seem to be popular. ...
Again the topic of weight of amps Music Reference RM9 MKII is a classic tube amp, weighing in at 60 Lbs and works with a variety of tubes (EL34, KT66, KT77, KT88 and KT90). Can be found on the used market for $2.5K, give or take. I've had mine for about three years and have no i... |
