Similar sound characteractics to MIT cables?
I have the MIT MH750 ...no boxes...ca 1988 I think,  shotgun configuration. I believe they were the original MITs, released before the "boxes". Haven't used them since 1993...:). Back in the days, I paired them with Martin Logan CLS. Sounded great...

@bo1972. Need your input please regarding Audioquest speaker cables. Budget level. I have particular interest right now in the audioquest type 4. Researching forums for budget speaker cables which have a darkish, warm, full, rich and unetched (HF ...
CDP...one channel a lot louder
Hi Czarivey. Thank you so so much for taking the time to respond...and in such great detail. I really appreciate it. Could a faulty DAC cause this channel imbalance? One channel is only 20 percent output of the other channel. Thanks again.
Joseph Audio RM25XL
@goldprintaudio...how do the rm25xl do for female vocals and piano? I listen to jazz vocals and acoustic instrumentals almost exclusively. Excessive top end energy and etch are a no no for me. Thanks.
Joseph Audio RM25XL
oh...neutral probably means not on rich side...:) Just trying to stay away from lean sounding speakers...ie...not much image density...thin. Thanks.
Joseph Audio RM25XL
Thanks Soix. Before I shortlist them ... how do they perform  on female vocals....are they known to have a big sound...on the rich side perhaps?Anyone else has feedback?

Resurrecting an old thread here....need some feedback on the rm25xl.From experience...would you categorize them as tilted towards the top, on the lean side and cool side of neutral? Thanks.
further to $ 2000. bookshelf speakers
Not quite $2,000 and below...but how do the Odeon Orfeos stack up to the Harbeth P3ser, Nola Boxers 2, Totems, ATC11 etc etc. Are they a cut above in SQ (refinement) or somewhat at the same level. Anyone have first hand experience with the Orfeos?...
Harbeth vs JM Reynaud
@Ihor. How are the Omegas performing with more break-in? Vocals even better? TOP end smoothing out? Are you noticing female vocals sounding a bit "cupped"? I Guess overall sound a little closed in. Thanks.
best speakers for vocals?
Hi Everyone. Let's keep this thread going. How about standmounts below 5k...very good with vocals and piano (rich, full and expressive ) and a pair with strong central image. Thanks
Harbeth vs JM Reynaud
@Ihor. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort. I am somewhat in the same situation as you. I am seeking a pair of standmounts that I can keep a long time...like an end game pair. Wish to avoid thin and strident sounding at all cost. Plea...
Harbeth vs JM Reynaud
@Ihor...Thanks. As far as you can recall...how do the Omegas compare to the Harbeth 30.1, Compact7 and SHL5? Especially... in the areas of scale, image size (large and vivid is good), vocal density and fullness? Smooth and non etched top end would...

@Ihor...the omega super alnico monitors have been on my radar for a long time. Do keep us posted on how you find them. Vocals and acoustic instrumental music in particular. Thanks.
MY REVIEW: Merlin TSM MMM BME
Hello. Has anyone compared the differences between the tsm mmm bme and tsm mmm(I guess model just before the bme). What would the differences in both sonics and hardware upgrade. Thinking of getting the tsm mmm if diff is subtle. Top end smoothnes...

I can't imagine Essence of Music (using supplied) cloth NOT causing scratches. I run ALL CDs I have cleaned with EOM so far with a very mild concoction of dishwashing liquid and water first...and then air dry...to make sure it's totally dust and "...
