ProAc 1 SC vs. ProAc D1
The 1Sc with its scanspeak drivers had more matured and natural midrange and treble as well. I have heard the response D2 and thought it to be just another speaker, nothing "Proac" about it.
What CDP gets really close to vinyl?
Muralman, while I totally get your point about how and why Vinyl sounds superior to digital and the case of "Harmony" and I also understand your preference to NOS dacs and simplistic but well designed transports (47 labs) I am still a bit confused...
Attn Vinyl lovers - what CD Player do you use?
I am surprised no one has mentioned the CDP "The Last Record Player" by Einstein Audio !! It really is something worth an experience. It elevated the respect I had for this company to a new level. They do things at a different level IMO, at least ...
Best Integrated, period.
Symphonic line RG10 MK4, the best integrated I have every heard. Very powerful yet sublime !!
British sound???
British sound is a relatively neutral signature with good PRAT and musicality. They dont sound like typical European products which try to be very sophisticated, Brits try to be honest.
Anyone else tried the Acoustic Systems Liveline?
Knghifi is right. I dont own an Einstein preamp. In fact I have only heard it once in a showroom. I own a tube preamp from a boutique brand called Acoustic Portrait. It is not at all forward, it sounds very close to a Shindo Auriges preamp. We did...
Audio Space CDP-8A vrs Jolida JD100A
Audio Space gears are surprisingly good sounding.
Anyone else tried the Acoustic Systems Liveline?
Well Silkworms sounded somewhat too lush and golden to my ears and clearly lacked bass definition. It was colored, simply put.Yamamura is nice, especially the Millenium 6000. The digital cable is extrmely good. The analog cables sounded a bit roun...
Anyone else tried the Acoustic Systems Liveline?
Yes, PCs are total game changers which is very dicey to handle. I am planning to try out the Lessloss power cords soon as I have been "reading" that they dont alter the signature sound.
Anyone else tried the Acoustic Systems Liveline?
Thanks Charles1dad, same to you as well.
IC's and Speaker cables
For you I would strongly recommend the Fusion Audio Romance interconnects. It is like adding a tube component to your chain but in a good way. Warmth, presence and body is its forte. But it doesnt slow down or muddy the music like some other warm ...
Power conditioner for EMM CDSA ?
Monarchy Audio Regenerator. Absolutely unadultrated !!!
Warmest sounding Green Mountain speaker?
First order cross over, Time Alignment, Phase Alignment are all very good things and I agree GMAs do it well. But I dont listen to them individually, it comes as part of music, if piano sounds like an instrument which is just 2ft long and 2ft wide...
Anyone else tried the Acoustic Systems Liveline?
Knghifi and Charles1dad, If you look at all my cable related threads, I have never asked a question about speaker cables, never ever....do you know why ? Simply because I found a cable which doesnt leave its signature on the overall sound, even if...
Warmest sounding Green Mountain speaker?
I havent heard the bigger GMAs but the bookshelf models I have heard are clearly flawed in the bass region IMO. The mid-upper bass which gives an acoustic instruments its woodiness character and to some extent the body was lacking seriously IMO. I...
